October 30th, 2025 Update
reach the 120 level mark

This pack will likely features 15+@ tribes, and each tribe will have its own unique theme. Though unlike Lemmings 2: The Tribes, this pack won't strictly restrict which skills each tribe can use, instead, I've tried to give every tribe a different flavor and personality through their themes. ;)

Here are some examples with screenshots  :

Dirt Tribe – "Back to Basics"
This one's all about classic Lemmings vibes! All levels use only the original 8 skills, and many of the solutions are inspired by the old-school levels from the original game. Overall difficulty is: pretty easy.

1.png
Dirt - The Safest Bridge in Lemmingland
what did you say? the safest bridge?

Basset Tribe – "Swimmer Puzzles"
These levels are all about experimenting with the Swimmer skill. You'll find lots of water pools and will need to come up with creative routes using Swimmers. Maybe even tackle a level that's almost completely underwater. ;)
Overall difficulty is: on the easier side.

2.png
Basset - A Theatrical Songbird
built different, taking a different route!

Cloud Tribe – "Movement Skills"
Here you'll make good use of various movement-based skills to hang around hard-to-reach-normally places. Combining these skills in clever ways is the key. Expect some dynamic and action-packed levels!
Overall difficulty is: Most levels are fairly easy, though the last few might give you a headache.

3.png
Cloud - Platform Nine and Three-Quarters
run through a brick wall! 8-)

Space Tribe – "Teleporters & Receivers"
These levels feature one or more pairs of teleporters and receivers. You'll need to travel back and forth through them to open up new routes across the map. 8-)
Overall difficulty is: very challenging

4.png
Space - Galactic Civilization
something... only advanced civilization can do!

Metal Tribe – "Weirdness"
This tribe is... well, weird. Expect eccentric, unexpected solutions where your usual Lemmings logic might not work. You'll need some out-of-the-box thinking here. ;)
Overall difficulty is: unpredictable, it really depends on the level!
(If you've played my previous pack Lemmings Halloween 2023, think of the level "Insulator", that one would fit in this tribe. :D )

5.png
Metal - Insufficient Data for a Meaningful Answer
self-explanatory...

Renaissance Tribe – "Extreme Difficulty"
This tribe gathers levels that were just too hard for my other packs, or made just seeking self-satisfaction, or ones I decided not to submit to contests because they were a bit too overtuned. These are the most complex and challenging puzzles I've made so far.
Overall difficulty is: never seen before

6.png
Renaissance - Romanticide
put their spirits to rest.. but not me!

There are many more tribes with various themes, hopefully I can showcase more of them next time.. maybe when the next wave of motivation hits.

NeoLemmix Levels / Re: Lock and Key [Difficulty: Hard]

This time, this should be intended  (plus a similar but backroute-ish alternative solution ;P )

resolved updated levels  8-)
Spoiler
Eon2, Eon5 - look intended for me now
Neo1 - probably intended? since you said the intended solution is counter intuitive and I made the turn-around point farther and save more time as a result.
One2 - looks intended
One5 - another nuke solution.. I'm pretty sure the intended solution has some kind of nuke interaction in it to compensate the lack of destructive skills, but I'm not sure if this is the one you intended. ???

Here're my solutions. I guess I backrouted two or three levels.
This pack really shows how much puzzle potential the new objects can provide.

I just played through the pack and here're my replays. (two replays for One_3 and one replay for every other levels each.)
I managed to save multiple lemmings on only one level "Aquarium Deception". The talisman said save two but I managed to save most of the lemmings.
There are many good levels but my favorite was "So many Spikes", that was a brilliant level

also added new packs to the list :D
If there're any missing packs, let me know!

LDC#32 is now included to the pack. :D

General Discussion / Re: Simon blogs

So it's basically a saturation arithmetic except that the upper and lower limits are determined dynamically from the list itself.

I think it's pretty common in video games. In Slay the Spire(which I enjoyed a lot this spring  ), your strength and dexterity can't exceed 999 so no matter how many buffs overlaps you get your strength and dexterity are clamped down to 999. Similary you can't have less than 1 max hp so no matter how many debuffs overlaps you can never die by losing max hp.

I've been having busy days, I just bought my first house so my partner and I have been renovating it.
but I think I can finally start making some levels for the pack

Welcome Velixi! glad to collaborate with you! 8-)

@IchoTolot
Everything is intended

QuoteI picked up that it shall include a neat new trick, but I haven't found it yet and all other things fall short 1 lem or 1 skill. Seems to be backroute proof for now.  ;)

I really hope it is something clean and elegant though and not some finnicky shimmier+stoner step up - I tried that as well but it did not work.

But lets see and try again
no shimmier+stoner shenanigan needed. I'm not sure if this is a 'neat' new trick but I'll let you be the judge of that.

edit by kaywhyn: October 29, 2025 (my time zone, but October 30 for Armani) - added level completion counter to topic title

If you're in the LF Discord server you probably already know, but I'm working on a new NL level pack. I'm making this topic both for archival purposes and to give you a little look at what I've been working on.

General Information
This will be a Lemmings 2: The Tribes inspired pack. I'm planning to choose several tilesets (I'm thinking around 15 tribes in total, but that may change) and create entirely new tribes of my own. Each tribe will have 10 levels just like in the original game. I haven't decided on a pack name yet, so I'd love to hear any suggestions!

Difficulty
There will be soft resets between each rank, meaning that while each rank gets progressively harder, the first half of a new rank won't be more difficult than the second half of the previous one. Overall, the pack's difficulty will range from easy to Extreme+.

Progress
Recently hit the 100-level mark!

Release Date
My interests come and go like the seasons, so I can't promise anything concrete but I can give you a rough estimate: I'm hoping to release the pack by the end of 2026.

Tribes
L1: Brick, Bubble, Dirt, Fire, Rock -> All of these use only the classic 8 skills. ;)
L2: Egyptian, Outdoor, Space
Custom: Chalk, Cloud, Honeycomb, Machine, Mineshaft and some more ;)
I can still add new tribes, so feel free to suggest any tilesets you'd like to see in the pack. They may or may not be added!

Previews

1.png

I'll try to share progress updates from time to time.
Feel free to leave any suggestions or questions! :)
