As someone who has gotten DosBox to work and followed a few instructions on it I have one issue on another level pack for Lemmings

I don't know if I'm missing a file or something, but Covox Lemmings or Save the Lemmings as it's called don't load any music or the sounds that come from DOS Lemmings like with the Prima Lemmings. I have Sound with the FX option but it's very limited. the files I've found and I did scour any archive I could find that's safe resulted in the same build, even though the online streamable builds have the proper music and sound effects.

Am I missing something? Prima has everything as intended why doesn't Covox Lemmings work the same way?

SuperLemmix Bugs & Suggestions / [SUG][EDITOR] Cross Compatible Editor
« on: August 31, 2023, 04:28:54 AM »
Even as some who still uses Neolemmix, given that new features are sunset for the sake of a final version. there were things I wanted for the editor of Neolemmix that never got made.

Piece search bar
Grid based Piece viewer
Force Lemming type

And ideas that by the time I've thought them, it was far too late to suggest them.

Pop out Stage viewer

However if any of this is possible in Superlemmix, The only thing I could suggest is a Cross Compatible Editor, one that you can choose to make levels for NeoLemmix or SuperLemmix depending on what folder its in.

Like "If editor is in the SuperLemmix folder, show SuperLemmix features" and "If editor is in NeoLemmix folder, Show NeoLemmix features"

While I'm no coder or anything, I don't know how viable of an option this is, or where else to put it.

NeoLemmix Levels / Festival Millas 2022 - Release Thread
« on: January 23, 2023, 12:14:28 AM »
Guess who miss the christmas deadline the first time in years?
Unforeseen circumstances and a very stressful time made it hard to finish this pack but hey, it's finally done. Please note I might take a mental break unless I feel a creative itch in my mind, I need to reassess and refresh myself, I want to get Millas done this year so if im not making a level for FM23 or FM19 Overhaul, I'm making a level for Millas and I'm focused on redoing a lot of levels and filling in spots that needed filling up a long time ago. With that being said without further ado

The Fifth of the Festival Millas packs, with this one have Space and IIDX Casthour influences This includes 35 Levels (and a credits level), 3 New Sets, Set updates and music to go with it.

Jupiter is the first and easiest of the 5 Ranks, as you trek through the early game. This is the first pack to feature remakes of my older levels such as this one here.
"A Spectacle as cold as the Night"

Past Jupiter is Saturn with it's rings, like the winter weather it's rings are made of rocks and ice. So expect things to pick up
"Have them exit first"

It's a planet that people have to pronounce differently because of how it sounds unaltered so if channels say it like "Ur-run-us" or "u-ran-oose" you now why. The middle rank where it's harder than most, but easier than the rest.
"Metal in our Affairs"

The fourth in outer space, named after the gods of the sea. Dear Neptune the punch pulling is off for this the further you are in the Galaxy, the colder it gets
"Chipping Address"

Named after Hades, Pluto is here (and I never used the Song Pluto or Pluto Relinquish dang it!) this is where all the brutal levels go and some are levels either I completed or Armani Completed
"The Ominous Plane"

The first issue involved grouping, when the terrain is grouped in Editor like below

The player instead decides to render it like this

The other issue, overlaying a transparent piece on steel, I don't know weather or not to count this as a bug but it does carry the properties of when a destructible terrain piece is overlayed on steel, all the contents of that piece can be destroyed, I guess it doesn't count as a bug since the terrain is functioning correctly, but at the same time well...

6
The Images below will best describe what im talking about

In Editor, The Paint Object works similarly to one way arrows, I applied steel here but I also used terrain with "allow one way" unticked

But in game, Paint Ignores this and overlays anyway

As to copy my quote from Discord

Trying to see if I could continue a climb with the portals, the either hoist on the receiving end ignoring the that there's still a wall to climb and then go back to the left, if placed to far from the wall, they immediately fall back into the teleporter and then they renascend the wall of the previous portal, or here (video Below) where they get stuck in a wall

if there is still a wall the climb they don't hoist before entering the portal, they hoist after the portal and fall afterwards.

I've posted a video below that shows this behavior in action

NeoLemmix Levels / Festival Millas 2021 - Release Thread
« on: December 17, 2021, 12:45:45 AM »
Again before Christmas, we have the yearly level pack, and im lucky to have this one be made at all

Featuring 2 new graphic sets, A number of Set updates for the sets from 2020 and before, 30* levels (2021 was not gonna be a big year for the FM levels so I aimed for something feasible), and the first use of the FP2 Millas in the Festival Millas set of Packs. Only thing it doesn't have are levels from Nessy, Nessy couldn't make it this year due to scheduling conflicts so I do wish him the best.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

First a Preview of what You'll be going through this time

This year's Rank theming is the Chinese Zodiac, Easiest being the Rat Rank, where the more tamer levels are placed, each rank has an end of rank talisman

Second the Dog rank, where learn about bigger responsibilities

Third the Tiger rank, the middle of the road but where path forward won't be easy. The difficulty becomes more ferocious

Fourth the Ox rank, the rank of my Birthyear, Big strength and knowledge is needed for the adventure ahead

Last the Dragon rank, where legends are forged, the most Difficult Tasks are within this rank, you're not gonna beat this rank easily

EDIT by namida: Fix to be included in 12.13.0 12.12.4

Found this out while I was making another level, for some reason if a zombie goes into a right facing splitter, a lemming far away SOMEHOW turns a lemming into zombie.

I've a attached a level below to show this behavior

Closed / [Suggestion] Default one way fields?
« on: April 23, 2021, 10:46:15 PM »
Every set has default one way arrows for those that don't use any custom one way arrows. But what about its sister object the "one-way field" should a default one exist? and what appearance should it take?

Closed / [Suggestion] Finite Lemmings
« on: March 25, 2021, 10:51:53 PM »
I thought of this a while ago but here's the idea

-You have a lemming with a number over their head, that number goes down the moment you assign a skill to them.

-If the number reaches zero, the number disappears and they become a neutral lemming. (they also become neutral if they become a zombie)

-In editor you can assign them any number to decide how many tasks are they allowed to preform, finite entrances can have all lemmings that come out have a number on them.

Examples
-An entrance full of 1 skill lemmings being a retooling of the "1 Skill per Lemming" Gimmick
-Having Preplaced Finite Lemmings that'll determine the path of using the lemmings and where
-Levels ending up with all the lemmings becoming neutrals once solved

This is a sample I made for the Update to the FP2 Dragon Valley Set, and the New Avian Museum Set, this short pack shows what is possible with these set and possibly more.
This also has a new millas folder titled "gigalem_millas2" to make the millas match their FP2 appearance.
However, be aware that this remain a sampler until both Millas AND Freedom Planet 2 are released.

Say I replaced a an old final level with a new one, and removed the text from the old one. Upon testing it out, the player pretends the screen is still there, the screen doesn't delete itself.

Closed / [Suggestion][Editor] Zombie Counter
« on: September 14, 2020, 09:58:35 PM »
To paste from the Lemmings forum discord
Quote
I'm surprised a zombie counter hasn't been added to the editor, it would probably make it easier to track so I don't have to use the level validator
like the editor telling me the number of zombies I've put into a level
Like the editor doesn't tell me how many things I've selected in the original editor, so I can't tell how many zombies I have if I had them selected which makes things difficult for me to tell so I often have to resort to the level validator to do the math.
