Cut everything except menu and breadcrumbs above the board list. If you want the username at the top, inline it with the menu.

Condense the board list vertically as much as possible. I am using this right now. This board listing could still be culled of empty space further.

Below the board list, there is no problem with clutter, the random info is nice.

Enlarge the font size to the browser's default. I remember geoo didn't need this, but I don't want the small font size. Empty space is easily a waste.

[23:45] <SimonN> the involuntary hovering is one thing, also the text below will jump up and down as the spoiler opens and closes, looks a little hillbilly
[23:45] <SimonN> and it doesn't allow inline spoilers, which might be wanted
[23:48] <namida42> id quite like to get it the same way GameFAQs has it, their spoiler tag is great
[00:05] <SimonN> OK, is an inlinable markup and sets bg of text to black, while black is also the text color
[00:05] <SimonN> yes, I think that is best, even if it doesn't look too sophisticated

The quizmaster is not me, but ccexplore. So, you can safely stroke the corresponding rodent behind the ears and tell it's all right, no problem with the little delay.

Edit: replaced the Quizmaster's porcupine with the spinning hamster.

Good, topic lock for ancient posts is as good as an extra locked board.

Great work, this is much more saved content than expected.

Do we want the ancient posts from Lemmingswelt and Isamedia in the same postable boards as the 2009-2014 posts? The alternative is to make read-only boards for the ancient posts at the bottom of the list. I.e., do we want to bloat the boards or the board list? :->

Lix Levels / Re: Lix Double-Level Contest 2014
« on: December 21, 2014, 05:56:24 AM »
Correct, depends on the C++ core library used to compile the game. The Windows build makes CRLF endings, the Linux builds make LF endings.

The game doesn't care, it eats all line endings alike. The source code management has levels in their authors' original endings. Thus, line endings differ already among the levels in the main downloadable.

Yes, an excellent compilation. This is the kind of work/topic the forum needs more of.

I have a hard time to reply to topics when there are no bugs to report. >_>

Very good, a 2015 instance of LF to cultivate.

The migrations in the past were always due to board death, not to admin AWOLness. Let's see whether the users migrate. The 2009-2014 instance is usable still. No proper spoiler tag, wrong board order, ..., don't deter immediately most of the users. The domain lemmingsforums.com is strong on search engines, but good luck in contacting Adam and pointing it here.

Now I can get all my nitpicking about the 2009-2014 design in here later. :-)

Yes, exactly the right entertainment before going to bed, feud-induced philosophical/metamathematical discussion with ccexplore. *hamster* *hamster* *hamster* Thanks for the nice read.

[20:48] <SimonN> "never too much" allows for a quantity that is enough, but not too much; "never enough" doesn't (I'm very happy posting this quote, because this turns out to hold in both interpretations of the categories!)
[20:49] <NaOH> so they are distinct then, very good. I had three hours of sleep so logic is not my forté at the moment.
[20:49] <geoo> yeah, they are clearly distinct. Of course, maybe ccx mean't something else than he wrote
[20:50] <SimonN> half the fun of the game is that you're hosed if you write something else than you mean :)
[20:50] <NaOH> haha, yes :)
