Lemmings Main / Lemmings Music From Sega Genesis (AKA Mega Drive)
« on: April 23, 2009, 06:39:25 PM »
I've found the music from Lemmings 1 here:

http://project2612.org/details.php?id=79

And here is the music from the sequel, Lemmings 2 - The Tribes:

http://project2612.org/details.php?id=166

You can hear both packs using this plugin on Winamp (& programs that admit Winamp plugins, like, for example, Xmplay):

Can be downloaded here:

Most of them are identical to their homonyms in the amiga & PC version, other... well, certainly not (for example, the A Beast Of A Level - saga is replace with unpublished levels). Here is a list of all differences:

Level Design / Lemmix (Level Editor) & Wine
« on: December 01, 2008, 12:36:39 PM »

Hi everyone!

Yesterday I installed Wine on my Linux Slax, and tried to run Lemmix (the Level Editor). And it worked REALLY FINE...! ...save for the fact that the cursor cross didn't show very well while playing... Do I have to configure Wine in a special way in order to run Lemmix properly, or is just a bug of the editor itself?

Lemmings Main / Lemmings for ZX Spectrum

Here's some stuff I've found referring the ZX Spectrum Lemmings:

http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekid.cgi?id=0009370

Please, notice the level screenshots once there. It seems there are plenty of unpublished ones:

Lemmings Main / References in Lemmings level names
« on: October 24, 2008, 07:41:32 AM »
Inspired by comment made by finlay in this topic, I've found a website that contains a lot of cultural references, puns & jokes in the Lemmings level names:

http://www.answers.com/topic/references-in-lemmings-level-names

I wonder if there are some more references not "harvested" there  ...

Lemmings Main / Going Their University Ways!
« on: March 28, 2008, 05:02:02 PM »

Look at this dissertation/thesis that I've found:

http://www.cs.nott.ac.uk/~gxk/papers/ktsthesis2007.pdf

I can't believe playing Lemmings for years can let you obtain a Doctor degree!  :XD:

How the Hell do I solve this level? Any ideas?

Help & Guides / Impossible levels (on Lemmini)
« on: March 14, 2008, 10:51:51 AM »

Maybe I am not a "Master" of Lemmings, but while playing "Xmas Lemmings 92" on Lemmini, I am unable to solve the last level: "The North Poles". It's impossible for Lemming #1 to start building a bridge in the VERY edge of the first pole, and let him fall onto the next with ONLY one bridge; so it takes 2 bridges to reach the next pole, and that extra bridge makes impossible to build a last bridge to the exit.

Because of this so-called bug, it's also impossible to solve the "Holiday Lemmings 1993" level called "The Search For Lem": in this one, you have to build four bridges very pretty close to the edges. I've tried a hundred times to solve this one, but every time I start building as close to the abyss as I can, I always start on the same place!

That's very annoying! I didn't have those problems in the MS-DOS official versions! Am I a clumsy "riding" Lemmini?

Hi 2 everyone:

I'm a big lover of puzzling games, and I specially enjoy very much the Lemmings & The Incredible Machine sagas; I consider both the Everest of puzzle videogames .

A month ago I found this two like-The Incredible Machine games and I think they are pretty cool:

Armadillo Run - http://www.armadillorun.com/
(and it's Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armadillo_Run)

Crayon Physics - http://www.kloonigames.com/blog/games/crayon
(and it's Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crayon_Physics)

The first one is more deliberately based on The Incredible Machine goals, but includes some surprises, while the second one it's amazingly original, and it's simplicity of graphics, controls and targets makes it a cute game. I've found it even a metaphysic game!  (sorry if I turned out too much pedantic, hehe)

What do you think about them?

« on: February 07, 2008, 12:48:38 PM »

Hi everyone:

I've searched the web looking for this games, that appear metioned on www.lemmingsuniverse.net [with broken links]:

-Thinker
-Thinker 2
-No IQ
-No IQ 2
-No IQ Extreme

But I could not found any of them. Is there any place where I can download them?

Thanx!

Level Design / Two questions
« on: February 05, 2008, 06:33:32 PM »

Hi to everyone:

I have two questions about Lemmings 2 & Lemmings Chronicles and his levels:

1.- Is there any level editor (not counting the Amiga editor nor Cheapo Copycat) for making Lemmings 2 and/or Lemmings Chronicles levels, and running them?

2.- Can be ported the Cheapo Copycat Lemmings-2-like levels (and other levels) to Lemmini/Lemmix Editor/LemEdit?

I am very surprised I can't found new levels or a Windows version for, at least, Lemmings 2... I think it was a very great sequel.

Thanx!
