First off... Merry Christmas!

And with that I proudly announce the official release of my new pack.

Lemmings Destination

A new pack of Lemmings levels from the mind of a lunatic that promises a unique and mind-boggling pack of adventure, romance, and salvation.

Can you guide your favorite rodents through 100 new levels filled with dangerous traps and locations from the literal burning pits of hell to morally questionable factories... all under a kick-butt soundtrack.

Music Installation

This pack contains optional custom music. Extract directly into your main NeoLemmix folder.

Warnings

The creator of this pack is not responsible for the following:

- Loss of hair
- Loss of sleep
- Loss of sanity
- Elevator music
- Corrupted data (???)

Story

Almost 200 years after "The Great Lemming Migration" and its story is now a mere legend that only a handful of elders can remember inaccurately. Regardless, our cute little rodents have accomplished grand things in the meantime. They have build a new metropolis from the ground up that serves as a sanctuary to all Lemmings from around the world. A sanctuary to all lemmings who wish to escape the mysterious "cataclysm" and to escape the on-going need to solve puzzles in dangerous landscapes just to migrate to warmer climates. It's time to go beyond survival and reach one destination that will end all destinations.

Difficulties

This pack is divided into seven ranks:

1. Helium (Easy levels)

Rock Is Mine

These levels are nice and light, and you may simply float through them. Don't get too comfortable though, as these levels aren't complete pushovers. X-of-everything levels are rare as your first simple puzzles with limited skills will be presented right away!

2. Neon (Tricky levels)

You Belong With Me

Now the neon glow of menacing difficulty will begin. These levels are some more simple puzzles with limited skills, but solutions require a little bit more thinking now.

3. Argon (Challenging levels)

Restricted Area

Things start getting heavier now. The levels start becoming a bit more complex and solutions will challenge your ideals and beliefs... well no just your solving skills really.

4. Xenon (Very challenging levels)

Life With Mystery

Here we are at the odd child of the five ranks. They take pride in their penultimate position and will gladly start presenting you with some tough levels that are almost borderline insanity.

5. Radon (Just-ripe-your-hair-out levels)

Cannibal Festival

Levels are now just radioactive, and a huge health risk to anyone unprepared. You've come too far now, can you really turn back? Levels are even more complex and require max creative thinking on how you use all your skills and how you approach even the simplest of strategies. Just remember to never give up!

6. Synthetic (Bonus Levels)

A Quiet Place

Because a bonus rank is always the best rank right? Made in a lab and unable to occur in nature, these levels are mostly contest levels gathered together into one rank.

That's assuming you meant New Super Mario Bros. U deluxe, because as far as I know New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe doesn't exist (or at least, not officially).

Yes I meant New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe

After owning it for about 8 months I finally starting playing New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe co-op with my brother (it's basically a Switch port of New Super Mario Bros. U). I did attempt to play it on my own but being able to play it with someone else is way more fun and entertaining!

Granted! Your motivation to work on Lemmings has reached a peak... but the levels you make during this never come out just the way you want them to :(

I wish I was in a (healthy) relationship.

General Discussion / Re: Dreams
« on: November 23, 2019, 01:44:58 AM »
That's a pretty interesting and funny dream there Lucia :D I'm not 100% sure what a white albino peacock represents in a dream unfortunately :\ I do believe that animals can represent certain things about ourselves. For example sometimes I have dreams about snakes and I've been told that they represent a fear of something in real life. Maybe the emotion appears during sleep and the mind is unable to comprehend it at the moment so it manifests it as something that we learned was dangerous like the snake (?)

In terms of lucid dreaming I have actually heard of it and I've even encountered it several times. They aren't common for me but they aren't rare either. Usually I'm in the dream and somewhere along the way I start to notice that it's a dream. The circumstances for that usually change and I can never really pinpoint exactly what they are but recently I discovered that one of the main circumstances is when the dream starts to feel like it's so real that I start to question things. Sometimes I even say out loud in the dream, "Is this a dream? I think this is a dream." Unfortunately I can rarely get the dream to a point where it plays like a "video game". The few times that I do manage to get it to that point they either play like FPS games or fighting games, and when a situation occurs that is undesirable I can actually stop for a moment and change it. In fact, sometimes it isn't even a video game and I can seem to change the outcome of things with a simple thought. In fact, the other night I did dream of being late to one of my high school classes (a very common and recurring dream for me) and the teacher didn't even let me come into the classroom. I simple thought that I wasn't late and that I wasn't going to get kicked out and the dream continued on as normal in the classroom. However, despite this "limited power" in lucid dreams I still can't seem to do a few things. One of those things is walk through walls. It sounds stupid (because it probably is) but sometimes when I'm lucid dreaming I actually try to go through walls and I seem to be unable to do that even though I'm telling myself that nothing is real. I don't know why I'm trying to go through walls... or why it's a recurring theme... and it might actually mean something now that I'm typing it and I should look into that more :O

I know that for some people they have much more power in their lucid dreams and they can probably do that with no problems and even fly. I haven't been able to fly in dreams yet, just jump really high or float.

Taking a small break from Lemmings and I'm finally catching up on my video game backlog:

After owning it for a few months now I finally got around to playing Deltarune for the first time and managing to complete it including being able to beat that "secret boss" on my second attempt which was apparently a decent accomplishment, and if you have played the game you know what I'm talking about :P

I also picked up a copy of VVVVVV after it went on sale on Steam. I absolutely love this game so far :D Very simple in concept and yet highly addictive. It's also quite challenging but a good type of challenging... a type of challenge where you want to keep on trying and trying without ever getting frustrated.

I'm also returning to Ultimate Custom Night every once in a while to beat my high score (2000 at the time of this post). It's a shame a Halloween-themed stream revolving around this game never got off the ground, although I don't think this game would appeal to a lot of people on here.

Quite interesting shares Shmolem and mobius. I have actually had that happen to me several times when I ask myself if I'm actually dreaming, and moments where I truly did want a sequel to some of my dreams... here are some examples!

A couple of nights ago I had a dream where I want to say I was part of some competition or the like, and the competition was to get something from the insides of a temple that I swear was right out of the opening scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark. In fact I even remember saying out loud to the group I was in, "Hey, that's one of the best scenes from the movie!" Anyway I managed to get through the temple (no memory of it except for some weird masks piled in hallways), grab the item (I don't even remember what it was but it wasn't the golden idol from the movie), and got out. I managed to do it without breaking a sweat and come out of the temple victorious and holding up the item in front of the group I was with.

Last night was a completely different experience. I had a dream that I was going to work and I apparently I couldn't remember where anything was. I did find my bed in a place that was totally not in real life and this huge wave of exhaustion came over me that I decided to lay in the bed, try to sleep, and didn't even care. I had a similar experience to mobius's dream where I began to feel the pillows and covers around me and realized that I was both in the dream and in real life at the same time.

Sometimes I wonder if maybe my dreams are trying to tell me something. I don't believe that's the case all the time but at the same time we don't really know much about dreams so who's to say? Maybe these two alone are telling me that it's time to make a change in my life: time to get out of bed, go into the temple (metaphor for the unknown?), and come out with some type of accomplishment. Hmm...

This is when I want the dream sequels :P

Managed to solve 4/5 levels from Taxing :) The one that has me completely stumped is "Capture Me". I attached an attempt replay just to see if I am at least on the right track.

Finally played through the Fun and Tricky ratings of this pack (my solutions are attached below). Very impressive levels! My favorites so far are definitely "Signs to Guide You" and "Home is Where the Heat is" with interesting and well thought out solutions.

Steps to reproduce on NL Editor 1.15:

1) Place a terrain piece onto the level. It can be any piece from any graphic set.
2) Now delete that terrain piece and click the "Rotate" button to the left of the editor window (not the keyboard shortcut).
3) Now place another random terrain piece (doesn't have to be the same one). The terrain piece will now continuously rotate until you click the "Rotate" button again (not even using the keyboard shortcut works).
