Short of another new (or at least slightly modified) format, yes, that would be the result of once those two spaces are filled. However, with the change to graphic sets being purely by name rather than by number, that would free up two more bytes that could potentially be used to hold up to 16 more gimmicks.

With that being said, aside from a couple of possible additions from contest prizes, I don't plan to add any more gimmicks anyway.

NeoLemmix Main / Re: Player V1.29n, Editor V1.29n-A Released

The editor? That would be because of the inclusion of two copies of the graphic sets (traditional, nearly-unmodified ones (apart from steel added to Bubble set, and a few extra objects and extra steel sizes to the Xmas set) for traditional Lemmix editing, and the NeoLemmix-ised ones). Since it included these in both the normal DAT format, as well as the Lemmix Editor compiled format (which is quite large), each new graphic set - especially if it was duplicated over both variants, which is the case for most sets, apart from the LPIII ones and the Doomsday Lemmings style - added a fair bit to the file size.

The latest release removes the need to compile graphic sets, thus cutting their large size out of the total filesize, and bringing it down.

It's doable if there's enough interest. I'll keep an eye on this topic.

Level: "We All Fall Down"
"I'll be back."

Next theme: Snakes on a Plane

If you can't join because you're worried about being available for the tag-team part, I can understand. While I'll probably run some more tag-team contests at some point if this is successful, the majority of contests are definitely going to be single-creator. (In fact, I already have a good idea for the next one... xD)

You'd've been a long way away from Mayhem here anyway. IIRC, only myself, ccexplore and one other person had it. The requirements were greatly increased for the new forum.

Lix Main / Re: Exploders in Lix, with/without fling/timing?
« on: March 04, 2015, 10:06:00 PM »
As annoying as it'd be, that level (Cunning 4 from LPII) could be done with untimed bombers. Now, if you want to see levels that actually would not work with the timed bombers... (spoiler'd as this could give away part of the solution)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Now, back on-topic, if as you say there's also a difference in the blast, then this is even more of a reason to keep both of them. At the very least, maintain support for it in the engine while hiding one from the level editor; I don't advise this option, but it's better than removing it entirely.

I'd argue that if the skill already exists, and has been used in levels, don't remove it.

Is there any other difference between the two? I vaguely remember hearing that one gives a larger blast?

The responses were more in favor of "No", but slightly "Yes" (if you can count them as being a significant amount). In the end, I've extended Phase 1 by one day, and Phase 2's minimum by 3 days.

Opinions are a bit divided on this,  but more seem to be in favor of removing them, and definitely the reasons behind removing them seem logical. I've gotten rid of them. :)

The mass-dump feature is disabled (mostly to avoid dumping the levels before all the other required stuff to handle them is there, like converted styles (or the convertor tool)), but saving images of single levels still works. Just press I on the preview screen.

I wouldn't worry about mentioning "Infinite Time"; all levels in Doomsday Lemmings have infinite time. :) (The same is almost true for Holiday Lemmings Plus, with one exception (Arctic 3).)

Not really a glitch. That's just because the destruction particles are part of the basher sprite; this is true for miners and diggers as well (but not bombers, where the particles are created seperately). You might also notice that the exact same particles are created regardless of how much terrain they do or don't destroy, and that they're always (within the same graphic set) the same color again regardless of the terrain destroyed.
