« on: July 24, 2004, 09:38:57 AM »
Which is your favourite training level?

Mine would have to be "Tailor Made For Blockers"... finding all the different routes(not that there are THAT many, i only know of three) is fun.

Lemmings Main / Lemming Level List Game
« on: July 19, 2004, 05:57:57 AM »
Okay. What we do, is, going from Level 1 Fun(Just Dig) all the way to Level 30 Mayhem(Rendezvous at the Mountain), we post one good comment and one bad comment about each level.

The first poster(me) posts about the first level, the next poster about the second level, and so on.

Level 1 - Just Dig
Good Point: It makes a good introductory level to the game.
Bad Point: It is impossible to lose, unless you TRY to lose, or don't know how to play.

General Discussion / The Endless Sentence
« on: July 08, 2004, 12:39:42 PM »
Remember this, from Lemmings Universe?

It seemed to be classed as "useless" and stuff, so I wasn't going to bring it over, but then I noticed someone else(Dumb_Lem, to be exact) had added to it, so I thought it might be worth continuing.

Anyway, you can add as much as you like at a time, but there is one rule - the sentence must never end! It doesn't matter how long it gets.

Quote
The sentence so far:

Once there was a chicken who climbed over a fence because of a dog eating slugs, and the chicken fell over the fence and squawked very loudly, very very very very loudly, so loud that in fact the slug eating dog was hired at the carnival and got absolutely no customers to come to his stand because no one wants to see a dog eat slugs for the same reason that the chicken crossed the road after falling over the fence, the reason being forty nine farts jumping over a cow's neck to endure forty bullets in the foot, proving the impossibility involved in creating a parallel universe without the powers of an insane devil mixed with the intelligence of a retarded holy spirit and...

General Discussion / Pointless Information
« on: July 08, 2004, 09:47:36 AM »
You guys surely remember this thread?

Anyway, post anything pointless here!

I'll start, by saying that I am now collecting photos and artwork of Streetlights... e-mail me if you have any!

[Andi: If you never knew, or don't remember, the reason for a Pointless Information thread is so that people have somewhere to post pointless stuff, and there aren't a million topics about it - plus, pointless stuff is fun to post, so it's annoying if you can't post it anywhere.]

You know those "Lemmings Story" and "Magic War" stories... lets make another one like that!

After sleeping for a thousand years, the heroes that once saved Lemmingsville had returned to life. Lem'ka, Timballisto, Tumbleweed, IceEagle and Steaver. {EOS}

Lemmings Main / Sega Master System: Easiest/Hardest Unique Level?
« on: July 08, 2004, 01:31:40 AM »
Out of the levels unique to the Sega Master System version, which do you guys think is the easiest? And the hardest? (If any of you have even played that version)

I think that, without a doubt, Taxing 15, "What An Awesome Level" (which is entirely different to the PC version's level with the same name) is the easiest unique level on SMS version. By the way, Level 3(I think) of my LemEdit pack was based on that level - similar terrain design, very different solution.

As for the hardest. Again, no question about it. Tricky 14, "Menace" (again, entirely unrelated to the PC version level) is definately the hardest. It's harder than anything in the PC version too - even harder than Save Me! (Although it's SLIGHTLY easier to execute)

General Discussion / Three Word Story
« on: July 07, 2004, 11:26:14 PM »
Well... lets continue it here. What we already have is too long to post all of it here, so the last bit of it was:

Quote
I like pizzas! (To die). Right. There was dirt. LOTS of dirt. It all barfed slugs on chickens. A hamburger hopped over a cliff. It crashed into a question mark. "Questionmarks suck!" said Shrek. He ate his donkey's crap. Just joking - Shrek ate
CAT crap. And then died. Then Steaver died. Timballisto was tortured because of Trigenometry, and it hurt. And 5x^3+341-9x equalled 4, so X equalled IceEagle's doom. The oceans burned. Its became part stupid, and died.

"Remove bad words!" IceEagle said. But... but... I dunno. But... NO-ONE CARED! No-one cared? NO!!!

Then the mountains moved to Lemmingsville. My cat ate.

"Always about yourself!!!!" said IceEagle, pissed.

Then his jeans murdered him. Finally. They became shorts, finally destroying IceEagle. Just kidding, guys!

IceEagle was captured by R2D2's mother. Steaver scolded him. It didn't work. IceEagle found the key to escape. However, a chicken ate the key. This caused an icky-little-boy-who-eats-icky-stuff-and-lots-of-yucky-yucky-stuff to get a cock infection. He has SARS(solutive alendratic syphonto), so people avoided obliterating antidisestablishmenterianist elephants.

His DNA is a refridgerator box. It has food, but no drinks. Is he... alien? No, just stupid.

IceEagle yelled "Timballisto, enough bad words!" "(F Word)!" yelled Steaver370. "I'm leaving now!" said a (Cu Word).

Level Design / Tricks You Use (Warning: May contain solutions!)
« on: July 07, 2004, 01:26:41 PM »
WARNING: This post may contain solutions, or parts of solutions, to otherwise hard levels! People, please state which levels your posts contain information about, so people can skip posts about levels they do not want solutions to!

NOTE: This post contains part of the solution to all the Oblivion levels apart from Oblivion 4.

Post any tricks you use often here. Don't post simple ones such as "Climb and bomb" (*cough* Insane Steve *cough*), post more complicated ones, such as Oblivion.

Speaking of which, the Oblivion trick is:

Place many blockers along a path, then bash in the direction opposite to the one they were walking to free them all. This is used when the terrain prevents a single or a dual blocker from holding back the lemming - each lemming becomes a blocker individually. There is an exception to the "opposite direction" - Castle Of Oblivion(Ultimate Challenge 5, Level 1, if I remember correctly).
