Well you asked at the end of the first post what our favourite might be, and I have to say it's probably 5 Miles if you love Lemmings because it doesn't make any sense, lol.

Absolutely brilliant, now we can all get back to accidentally forgetting about Cheapo and Dimwits until Peter releases it, totally ignore Team17's version of Lemmings as well we should, and support Eric and 0xdeadbeef on their clone projects. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT :D::D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

How come everyone goes on about the DOS version not being as good when Mike said the DOS and Amiga versions were in development at the same time?? Keep up the DOS clone! It's looking great. I run it in WINE on Linux, it works brilliantly. Faster than Lemmini even. In certain circumstances, it runs faster than Lemmings running in Dosbox. Just brilliant. By the way, I like the DOS toolbar in boring old dumb mode. Lol. I agree, the Amiga one is too dark.

(PS: What is the advantage of 100 Lemmings as opposed to 80 other than waiting longer for them all to get home?)

Yeah. Custom Lemmings and Cheapo and Lemmix and Dimwits and stuff ... yeah ... I dunno, I miss the old music. On the PS2 Eyetoy game, the older music has prominence. In the Team17 game, there's boring new ambient music. Nice graphics, but a severe departure from the sort of 'feeling' of the game. Sure, you'll say "well you're just a sourpuss who is afraid of new terrain". I reply to you, "now who seriously likes ONML! over the original". Team17 Lemmings is to DMA Design Lemmings what Lemmings 3D is to Lemmings.

Would it have gotten this far if we all weren't behaving like spoiled prats who think we're above the law?

If you don't know what I mean by apt-get or yum, you didn't even try to get to know Linux. :P

How's your thingy coming along Covox?

How much more original than the Amiga version can you get... in terms of release. At least you're not using winlemm music. heh

Ooooh I can't wait! Having something USABLE under Linux without resorting to levels completely made of snow would be grand. Something native at that!

I like DOSBox, and DOS Lemmings. But the music is... cr@p to be quite honest. Rather the Amiga version. And yet for some reason I love the lower quality music from the Sega Master System. Hehehehe.

Anyway, good luck on this clone. It will be something interesting to see. :D
