G'day Mobiethian.

I'm very glad to hear. This was something I been wanting to do for sometime to change the palettes to correct them to make it similar to the Amiga. Although I did started doing this in Late 2022. But during the whole 2023 I put this project to the side. Right up until last month or so I thought it was time to get back to finishing this hack to fix up the Palette colours so that it would look way better and something that should have looked liked back in the day. :) Believe it or not originally I was only going to release it as a Colour Palette fix Hack. One Youtuber who I mentioned on my previous post here contributed his part to fix up some of the Level Titles that needed fixing, As well as Me fixing up the correction Level Title for the first level, as well as the perfect percentage rating brief as well. Thanks to him. This ROM hack has turned out better than I have anticipated. ;) I'll say this though It looks great on the Kega Fusion emulator. But it looks absolutely excellent on real hardware when I tested it out on my Sega MegaDrive II console. It really pops out.

UPDATE: I got this Hack gameplay Premiering Today at 10:00AM Australian Eastern Standard Time

G'day, Long time no post.

I been doing this ROM hack project for a bit and decided to look into fixing the colour palette for the Sega Mega Drive port of Lemmings to fix the colour Palette on there to make it similar and match to the Original Commodore Amiga colour version. And It's now available to Download from ROMHacking(.)net. It's the v1.1

What I changed in the colour palette:

INTRO CUTSCENE COLOUR CHANGE
GAME TITLE SCREEN COLOUR CHANGE
CHANGE TEXT COLOUR PALETTE  TO MATCH THE AMIGA VERSION AND MAKE IT EASIER TO READ.
CHANGED THE DIRT TILE SET COLOURS
CHANGED THE PILLAR TILE SET COLOURS
CHANGED THE CRYSTALTILE SET COLOURS
CHANGED THE FIRE TILE SET COLOURS
CHANGED THE RATING CHANGE CUTSCENE COLOURS
CHANGED THE WATERMARK BACKGROUND IN THE ENDING CREDITS.

Whilst I did most of the work to do this hack. Another fellow contributor by the name of Adrian Gauna helped to correct the Level Titles on there and this is the changes he did.

1. FUN LEVEL 10: Smile if you love Lemmings
2. FUN LEVEL 26: Nightmare on Lem street
3. TRICKY LEVEL 4: Been there, seen it, done it.
4. TRICKY LEVEL 6: Lemmings in the basement ( Whilst the Original is 'Lemmings in the attic" thought would be good to do this change.)
5. TRICKY LEVEL 16: Luvly Jubly
6. TRICKY LEVEL 17: Diet Lemmingade
7. TAXING LEVEL 16: Mary Poppin's land.
8. MAYHEM LEVEL 20: No added colours or Lemmings
9. Fixed a typo in the ending credits. GRAPICHS fixed to GRAPHICS

Saying that. I DID do one Level title fix on that and that is the First Level of the game
1. FUN LEVEL 1: Just dig!

NOTE:
Since this is a IPS patch download. In order to patch this. You must patch this using the Lemmings (Europe) ROM as this was from a PAL version, Patching this using the NTSC US/JP version will not work. To patch this, You can use the program LunarIPS which can be downloaded in order to Patch this.

Here's the screenshots to show the new colours in this attachement.

ENJOY.

Level Design / Re: SNES Sprite remakes for Lemmini
« on: October 30, 2012, 09:52:26 PM »
Sorry for the Confusion on that remark mate.  :-[

What I meant was, Seeing the Youtube clips of the custom tiles and levels that you don't usually see in a Lemmings game itself sure looked awesome. Was motivated to give that game a go after seeing Lacktardo Youtube clips of his custom design Lemmings level on his Youtube video which got me very inspired for me to give it a go myself. So I thought I'd start  making the entry & Exit graphics from the SNES version of Lemmings and redraw it to Lemmini High quality version as well as adjusting the colour palette accurate like the SNES version.  :)

To answer your question, the music BG, I recorded it from the Snes emulator and playing Lemmings on it. SO I thought I record the music, save it afterwards.  I actually inserted it on VideoPad (which is a Video editing program) when editing the video when I captured the recording of playing Lemmini, then added the saved SNES BG music file to the clip. saved it.

Major bummer Lemmini can only use .MOD file only for the BG music.

The graphics? I used the default high quality version from the tile GIF pics, (But only changed the colour palette to the SNES colour palette using GIMP, it has a option for me to use the Index palette to change the palette very fast without having to go the hard way.

I'll be sure to one day show a video tutorial for that.

But thanks soo much in your input mate. I appreciate it alot. ;)

G'day from downunder,

Been a Lemmings fan since childhood, The name's Josh.  ;) I've been playing Lemmini for a while now. since I heard that you can make your own Levels and make your own graphic objects for the game that I seen on Youtube. So I thought I'd share something that I've been making for a while.

since I love the SNES version of Lemmings alot, just thought I'd share my WIP of the SNES Entry and Exit graphic work I made and ripping the sprite from the SNES version of lemmings and re-graphicing it in high quality version for Lemmings, so far got the dirt, fire, marble and Pillar style remade in SNES version I love to share to you all.  ;)

Plus I got a YT clip up as well of the First Level of the game to show as well.
