Non-Lemmings Gaming / Tzar Campaigning
« on: February 16, 2005, 09:17:35 PM »
Does anyone else have the RTS Tzar:The Burden of the Crown?

I would like to discuss random map campaigning with them.  It's fun to hear other people's stories.

Does anyone know if you can play chords using the Qbasic music commands?  I can only get single notes to play so far.

While we're at it, this can also be an all-around qbasic discussion area  :D.  (whoopee everyone's so excited everyone's hopping mad yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....*whatever*)

General Discussion / What did you get for Christmas?
« on: January 05, 2005, 10:48:20 AM »
For Christmas, I got:

-clothes
-Peanuts comic books
-A dell (Man, I never would've expected to get a computer just out of nowhere)
-Rome: Total War
-A jacket
-Risk II (very fun)
-TLOZ: MM
-legos
-BIG lego baseplates

On a side note, I had an interesting visit from some people over Christmas.  My uncle, who I think pretty much lives with his girlfiend now, had a power outage for a while.  After about eight hours with no electricity, he decided it was time to go to our house.  So, he brought his girlfriend, and her daughter, to our house.  It was kind of fun to have company.  My uncle & his girlfriend slept in Alex's room, so he slept in my room, so I slept in the basement.  I would've taken the couch, but my uncle's GF's daughter was sleeping there, so, I slept in the basement.  That wasn't so bad though, because the basement is finished, and all of the gaming stuff is down there.  They stayed here for about three days, and they had to have Christmas at my house.  Isn't it strange how things go sometimes?

General Discussion / ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS
« on: December 04, 2004, 04:12:09 AM »
After the extremely dissapointing discovery that you must become a Runescape "member" to access the western half of the world, I came to hate the game in about 4 seconds.

I resolved to make my own game, that was free and didn't use a stupid random battle system, and had no "Members".

However, it will probably take about 4 - 12 years to do alone unless someone helps me.

I would like to assemble a team to construct a new game, along the ideas of a medieval interactive RPG.

If you have any computer skill, it could be helpful. &#A0;Actually, non-computer skill could help too. &#A0;Graphics makers could draw up maps, terrain, characters, etc. &#A0;Storywriters could write a huge bundle of intertwined plot lines with several exciting twists and turns. &#A0;People with a lot of creativity could suggest options for the game, for example, one idea I've thought of is the ability to start empires, or leave one you started (and if you do so without leaving an heir, then cause a civil war...heheheh   > : )   &#A0;). &#A0;People with programming skills could help to program the game, and that's one heck of a job. &#A0;Someone with web knowledge could help organize a sight or server to hold the game at. &#A0;people with talent in music composition could compose the songs for the game.

Almost anything can help.

Please post if you think you have a useful ability and you're willing to help.

PS: &#A0;It would be GREAT if I could get some people with 3D graphics knowledge &#A0;:D

General Discussion / Tower
« on: November 08, 2004, 01:00:25 AM »
Well, for those of you who use Flash (4.0a), I have some problems I need to ask about. &#A0;I'm making a game called towers. &#A0;It has several movie clips in it though, that are all in constant motion. &#A0;This eats all of the memory, so the game runs rediculously slow. &#A0;There are no current solutions to this problem. &#A0;Helpful hints?

General Discussion / Need any graphcs work done?
« on: August 29, 2004, 12:02:06 PM »
I know that most of you are already capable of doing your own graphics, but, I'll make pictures for people for about 50 cents to a dollar/picture.  However, I'm not sure how you'll get the money to me.

General Discussion / It's kind of sad...
« on: August 20, 2004, 03:43:22 AM »
Slowly, Lemmings sites, Lemmings forums, are falling into disrepair, or are being completely eliminated.  All of us here witnessed the shutdown of LU and LUDB.  Sure, we moved over to Andi's, but still...the LUDB loss is still an example of how things are dissappearing.  Yeah, I know there's still lot's out there, but if this downhill trend keeps going...well, the obvious result:

-NO ONLINE LEMMINGS-

But beside that, it's kind of sad that we have hardly had any new members, and those that came would usually be done with the forum in a couple days.  So, ya gotta wonder:  Where the heck are all the Lemmings fans???????  There are only about ten regulars here.

Of course, there really isn't much of a solution to all of this though...

« on: July 07, 2004, 01:00:08 AM »
Andi saved us all from complete and utter lack of Lemming-fan communication and the forum has gotten off to a great start now that everyone's here.  The forum topics are filling up with threads.

Way to go Andi! :D

As in the old, and falling apart LUDB, this is the topic where new level paks can be put up for download.
