Lemmings Main / Re: Your favorite Lemmings song(s)?
« on: August 23, 2017, 07:07:59 AM »

By the way, has anyone ever played the NES port of Lemmings? The controls and physics did get annoying, but it had a nice soundtrack in my personal opinion. These were my favorites:

Smile If You Love Lemmings
London Bridge Is Falling Down
Forest Green

Should check out the soundtrack on WiiGuy's 8-bit Stereo channel:

Reply with the end of the sentence, and when everyone has replied at least once, then start with a new one.

Here's the first one (and I'll make my answer too, btw):

"You know you love Lemmings too much, when ______________."

My answer: "you wake up in the morning with one of the bgm tunes stuck in your head." (I did that this morning, actually.)

I use a 1st generation Nexus 7 16 GB Wifi tablet, which does not have an SD card. i think it uses an emulated sdcard for it's internal memory.

I was looking at Droidlings (http://www.lemmingsforums.com/index.php?topic=760.0) and I installed the WIP APK you attached.  IDK if you're still working on it or not, but when I got to playing, I went to the Lemmings set, and I got this error, when I clicked on the first level:

The error changed depending on what level i pressed on, since every level is not contained in the same .dat file.
Anyone perhaps know about this, or how to fix it?

My avatar has caused this crash.  His quote is meant to be humorous - those who have seen Jeff Dunham, and his dummy "Achmed the Dead Terrorist", will see.  Those who haven't can see him here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uwOL4rB-go

I looked at your MCTEXT1.zip file, and there are a few issues with it:
1) files are in *.png format.  The standard format for in-game graphics is *.bmp,
2) those images are way too small to be useable on a major scale.  What I mean is, there would have to be a very large amount of objects, to even cover the smallest level size.

Also, I'm actually not sure if copyright would even be an issue with them, since, they all look so general, that it seems like anyone could have made them.  Even my 5-year old nephew could have drawn up something so simplistic.

.....it may be helpful to include some stuff unique to daytime and nighttime versions (eg. sun for daytime, moon for nighttime, maybe a bonfire for nighttime, etc.)

As RubiX said, there's already a sun.  I'll work on a moon shortly.  I just made a bonfire, and I put it in the same place as the sun, which is at:
lix\bitmap\Rebuilds\04 - Sandy Beach\Sand Decor.
(EDIT: made moon as well, and put it in the same place.)
(also committed and pushed it to the master branch of the git repository, so it, and all the other graphics, are there.)

Sorry but that Underworlds exit looks scary  :scared:

It's the Underworld.  It's supposed to be scary.

it's possible that the forum's scaling of the screenshots ruined the look of them.  So, I've updated the first post so that they are just thumbnails, but they link to the full-sized images, so that you can see them properly.

Also, the difference between Daytime and Nighttime Sandy Beach is that Nighttime is a bit darker than Daytime is.  Nighttime also uses a different texture than Daytime does.

Lix Main / new Graphics sets for L++/Lix
« on: May 05, 2011, 11:26:03 PM »
Here are some screenshots of the new graphics sets that I have been making for distribution with L++/Lix, since I have heard some requests to see them from people who couldn't directly obtain them.  The levels in the screenshots were made by RubiX.  There are 9 sets so far, and no more are planned. (EDIT: A new 10th set is planned.)

Set 01 - Earth

Set 02 - Gold Mine

Set 03 - Carnival

Set 04 - Sandy Beach(has 2 types: Daytime & Nighttime):
Daytime

Nighttime

Set 05 - Winter

Set 06 - Oriental

Set 07 - Underworld

Set 08 - Bricks

Set 09 - Marble
