I also played Caveman, and it's a cool game: congratulations for the upcoming Android release!!!

By the way, did you use something like Unity, in order to deliver the game on both iOS and Android systems? (my own Lemmings-like game has been directly coded in Java, and the target platform is Android only)

i built my own cross-platform system (before unity existed).. but yeah.. know of it. just never got around to android.. SHARK (my platform), exists on 15+ platforms... but, i do everything in C :P forget these inferior languages like Java :P heh.

It's pretty good, basically just Lemming.Though it has it's problems.

1. The pause and fast forward buttons are kinda unreponsive at times, also the fast foward button doesn't turn off after you beat a level.
2. It's kind of hard to give skills to the Cavemen, I fell like the cursor isn't needed and should just be tapping the Cavemen to give them skills.

Also I fell like the Pause and Fast Forward functions need to be at the bottom of the screen.

thanks for the feedback - will look into the issues.
there is a nice little easter egg - enter in the warpcodes for each day (DD/MM)

Thanks for Caveman! I know (and played) this game: this is a re-skinned Lemmings port due to copyright issues.
They used copyrighted assets indeed. For the Android game, I will deliver original contents only: I wrote original/not-copyrighted code and I created my own graphics, so I hope my game does not break any copyrights, even if my Brick tileset looks similar to Lemmings' Brick tileset.

i don't know why i never came to this website in the last 15 years hahah.. i just posted a new topic anyhow relating to caveman :)

we have an android version of the game now as well - it will soon be published for a closed beta.. in regards to legal issues - i've been versed up on this for years; Caveman HD never had any issues.. but, if your game looks too similar to the original game, you may run into issues. copyright law comes down to something as simple as this (this is how my lawyer explained it to me) "if someone with no knowledge of the game or computers in general saw the original and yours side by side.. but, couldn't tell the difference.. you can get sued for copyright infringement"... thats why Caveman looks the way it does. :)

PS: Caveman for Android has even been tested on Android 2.3.5 - so, 98% of android users should be able to play it!

I'm not sure why i never posted my game here - it has been available for almost five years now on mobile devices. I created "Lemmings" for PalmOS way back in 2001 - eventually ported it to more recent platforms (only to have SCEE send me a cease and desist); then in 2011 it was released as Caveman. some links to the project and how it all worked:

in any event; i saw the game was mentioned in another topic; so why not post the full information here. The game was written from scratch back in 2001 and is a perfect implementation of the original 1991 PC version of the game - took me hours to get it all working right. There is even an easter egg in the game that allows you to play the original seven levels from the classic game. of course; the algorithm for how to generate the code is available on my website if you want to see it in action. heck; even implemented the particle explosion in the game!
