« on: May 30, 2017, 04:01:40 PM »
Been a while since i've been here, good to see you're all still involved in all things Lemmings :)   Is anyone interested in having a few multiplayer matches?  Either in Clones, or any other multiplayer enabled Lemmingsish game.

Non-Lemmings Gaming / Clones Tournament
« on: May 05, 2011, 05:27:14 PM »

For anyone interested in competitive multiplayer Lemmings-like gameplay there will be the first ever Clones Tournament next weekend! (May 13th - 15th 2011)  We are still uncertain if remote entries will be accepted but if they are then you will receive a free copy of Clones when you enter the tournament, in addition to the glory and cash prizes to be won.  We are estimating remote-player entry fee to be $5 CND or less.  Please let me know if you are interested and we can pressure the event coordinators.  ;P

Non-Lemmings Gaming / Clones Release
« on: November 08, 2010, 09:58:30 PM »
After years of hard work we're pleased to announce that Clones will be made available to the public on Friday Nov. 19th!  It will be available on Steam, D2D, and our own website to start.

The Steam version of the game will have 64 achievements, leaderboards for each of the over 150 puzzles, and cloud support for your game profile.  As a special offer to all of you Lemmings veterans we are willing to provide a free copy of the Steam version if you promise to create 3 Clones levels (singleplayer or multiplayer) and upload them to our website, ClonesGame.com.  There are a limited number of keys we can give out so it's first come, first served.  ;P

Send me a PM if you are interested in this offer.

Non-Lemmings Gaming / Seeking Beta Testers For Clones
« on: February 20, 2010, 03:17:00 PM »
Many years ago we had created a network multiplayer Lemmings-like game for PC because we really wanted to play such a game, and no one else had done it.  Some of you might have tried it out, the name of the game is Clones.  Over the past 2 years we were lucky to receive some funding to assist us in making Clones a polished product.

We are very close to releasing a public demo and i was hoping that some of you would want to help beta test the demo before we make it public.  It contains 4 multiplayer and 4 singleplayer levels.  The focus of the beta testing will be on the multiplayer experience although feedback on singleplayer would be great also.

After the demo is released i will post again to request beta testers to help find leaks/backroutes for the hardest singleplayer puzzles in the game.  I understand that not everyone will be willing or able to do this, so ideally any players who enjoyed the mayhem levels from Lemmings would be a perfect fit.

You can view our current youtube promo video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uM9ovqSQ-dI (watch in HD)
To learn more about the game visit our website www.clonesgame.com

Please email to info @ clonesgame.com if you are interested in testing out the public demo and we will supply you with the download link.  Thank you and have a nice day!

Tech & Research / dat => lvl
« on: October 31, 2004, 05:32:58 PM »
Recently i was informed about the lemmings .dat levelpack decompression
algorithm by ccexplore, and i was wondering if anyone would find it useful if there was an application which could convert a .dat levelpack into a series of .lvl levels for use with the
Windows version of lemmings which uses .lvl files.  I got the impression
before that most players like the DOS version better.

Another option would be to load up a levelpack into CLONES to play, but the
differences in lemmings dimensions would render many maps unplayable.  At
the very least you could edit the .lvl levels in the CLONES mapeditor but
that would require you to play them in winlemm which might not be what you
want.

Please advise.

General Discussion / MULTIPLAYER CLONES
« on: October 03, 2004, 08:33:39 PM »
Who's up for a CLONES match?  I would like to test the multiplayer skills of the best 2-player lemmings opponent! :)

We are releasing a new version next week which adds a bazooker clone and a liquid clone as well as UDP/TCP optimizations to the network code so that internet dial-up players will get better ping.
