This is a place to post any levels you want to submit to the fangame project!

As always, you can post links to level packs, preferably your own or those of someone who you know WILL NOT MIND.

You can also do detailed reviews of these levels here.

I'd want to submit levels for this fangame. Here's my first (unfinished yet) pack:

I've tested the levels and they work fine (no glitches needed to finished them BTW), though I really need people to play them, so I can see if there are backroutes to the intended solutions.

I want to bring in Christmas levels to the fangame! :D :P I have 96 levels undownloadable for the level pack download (With some of the other users levels modified and included) Am I allowed to do that? Or I could bring in some of my ordinary levels and have the Xmas thing as a separate epic game if you want to.

I found the issue...  please, if possible, check levels in Lemmix.  Even I need to get into the habit of this because the editor part of the Lemmix Level Editor works fine under Linux's WINE.

The problem?  Some objects are not in correct places...

I have started work on my next pack... if I can get it done, I will, but if it's not done by midnight it can wait.  I have two levels completed so far, but neither have been tested.  Trigger areas and object positions are not problems, because I used Lemmix, which, as I have probably stated before, works great except for play testing.  Because of that, I use Custom Lemmings to test and I can't be bothered to run it until the pack is done.

So. If there are going to be 150 levels in this fangame, we need a list of some submitted levels.  Since there aren't many users around, should I submit appoximately 30?  ??? And also, I like the idea of sequential level unlocking like in Lemmings revolution. I'll make it look like this:

Here, the three levels marked with an "O" are the levels unlocked at the start of the game. When the level is complete the two branches will be unlocked, just like in Lemmings Revolution.

If we add that in, we 'll still have to use the DOS version just because not everyone uses Windows.  If we add that in, it would most likely be based off Lemmix with Eric's help.  I am fine with that as long as we make a DOS version, even if it doesn't have as many features, just so Linux and Mac OS X users can play it.  What good is making a fangame if the person who came up with it wouldn't be able to play it?

OK, since you're not asking for a limit, I'm putting in ALL my levels in the fangame. I know some of my levels suck so bad, but that is the case.

My level pack ClamSpam05 is fixed and ready to go. I have reuploaded the pack to the lemmings archive.


The changes are as follows:

- removed "Web 3.0" and replaced it with a new level, "Fill the floor".
- reordered the levels to better reflect the difficulty curve
- improved decorative terrain on most levels
- changed skill sets for "A step too far?" (less builders and blockers) and "Works on so many levels" (more builders, less blockers)
- minor tweaks to "Altitude Training" to make solution easier to execute
- changed terrain on "Play Bridge" and "Guns Blazing" to remove backroutes
- challenges, if we decide to include them:
   - Guns Blazing: 2 bashers (previously no bashers - the level now forces you to use at least two)
   - Fill the floor: no challenge, since the solution is tight as it is :).


When I get around to fixing the rest of my levels, I'll upload new level packs rather than replacing the existing one as I did in this case.

I agree. I like my table WITHOUT the stupid DOS thing. >:( How many people have DOS in the whole wide world? I know, about 10 or so. This is not going to be a popular fangame and I don't want to play it if DOS is required. I know some people have Windows 7 (especially Mr Kiwi) and their DOS have a somewhat awkward colour palette. I don't know if this is sorted out, but please, think of a more modern software like Java please.

Uh, guys? This is the LEVEL SUBMISSIONS thread. We have a general fangame discussion thread for this sort of thing...

Obviously it would be best if we could make a game that works for everyone. The question is whether we have the patience (or even the ability) to get it going. We really do need to figure out exactly what we want to achieve here - the sooner, the better.

I have drawn up a plan for improving my earlier levels so they can be included in the fangame. At the moment it looks like I will have about 45 levels to submit in total - whether I'll have time to actually do all this is another matter :-\. Many of these levels will be quick to get up to standard though, now that I know what to do.

When did I say there would be no limit?  I just said I don't know how many there would be.

And by saying we'd have to use DOS, I meant so those of us who don't use Windows can play the fangame.  Remember, Lemmix is Windows only.

I think one of my recent levels from the "Level Design Game" thread could work in your E.L.F.  The level from this post.

If you plan on doing repeat levels like Lemmings (unlike ONML) in ELF, the easier version of the level would have the following stats:

title: "Every Which Way"
time limit: 5 minutes
RR: 99
number of lemmings: 16
number to save: 8
skills: 8 of each

It would be a level that fits in a "Fun" or "Tame"-like difficulty range.

Then the later, harder version of the level would have the following stats:

title: "Detour"
time limit: 2 minutes
RR: 99
number of lemmings: 16
number to save: 10 or 11
skills: 1 of each

That level would fit in, oh I dunno, "Taxing" or "Wild" maybe?  Or a middle/late "Tricky"/"Crazy" perhaps.

Anyway, when the decision has been made to include my level, let me know and I'll do some final minor cleaning up of the graphics.  Mainly related to the placement of those "spinning framethrower" objects I think.  I could also add in some more decorative stuff.

I said a while ago that I wouldn't be making many levels because of other stuff going on...

That doesn't mean I'm not making any levels at all ;)

Here is the first level (other than my 05 pack) that I would like to submit to the fangame. It's a completely revamped version of "Singular Squish" from my 01 pack. I recently discovered that the original version has a horrific backroute, and worse, it couldn't be eliminated without making the level look terrible. So I swapped the builders for miners. The result? Same level (effectively), same solution, but no backroute. I hope...

Another remake for the fangame. This time, it's "Bumpy Ride" from my 2nd pack. I have removed the hole in the terrain and replaced it with something much nicer-looking, and added decoration around the level. Again, the puzzle is fundamentally the same.

Well, you can make that.  You'll probably want to switch it to 80 lemmings, though, because unless DOS Lemmings can be hacked to support 100, there will be a level that will only work on Windows.  I'm still trying to figure out how to get into the Amiga Lemmings files...  I'd like to edit that version quite a lot.

OK, here's another level to put in the fangame, I might want to put this in to replace one of my poorer levels in one of my sets. The level is called "Here come the quintuplets" and it has no builders! 8)

By the way, this is more about sharing creations with levels rather than just a discussion, I might ask a moderator to move this topic to somewhere else.

Anyways, I did release epic03.  It only has six levels, but each has at least two solutions.
