Title: [NeoLemmix] Minimum total skills

Another import of an old challenge to NeoLemmix :P This one asks for the minimum number of total skills to complete each level; which skills doesn't matter, nor does how they are distributed, but only the total number. As usual with challenges that don't specify otherwise, the aim is simply to pass the level, and you are limited to the actual skillset and time limit (if any).

Total for Lemmings Redux: 1194 skills (160 levels) = 7.46 skills per level

Here are my replays from this session.

Gentle 9 "Get a little extra help" - 2 skills
Gentle 12 "A Block From Home" - 2 skills
Gentle 15 "Darkness of the royal family" - 5 skills
Gentle 17 "You Live and Lem" - 2 skills
Gentle 24 "Rainbow Island" - 4 skills (This beats the DOS record; but I have checked and it cannot be reproduced on DOS.)
Gentle 25 "The Crankshaft" - 7 skills
Gentle 31 "Doomsday" - 6 skills

This does not include 12 skills on Gentle 32, which is also one of my solutions but is just my no climbers + 2 floaters replay from Skills You Can't Live Without (https://www.lemmingsforums.net/index.php?topic=4614.msg79407#msg79407).

Oh wow. I literally worked on all of this back in July/August privately while waiting for a finalised version of Redux. I kept a nice full table of results in my document. I won't list them all here though, but I will list some of my more difficult results, with replays attached in a zip file. (I can see some of mine have been beaten already)

WillLem and I filled in a bit more of Quirky today. Notable results:

4 "Go for it!" - 4 skills
10 "The Needs of the Many" - 12 skills (not possible on DOS)
19 "Tunnel vision" - 3 skills
21 "The Long Way Around" - 6 skills
22 "The Far Side" - 15 skills

Results up to Zany 12 filled in. The most noteworthy ones are:

* Quirky 32 "And then there were four", 15 skills. I haven't watched Minim's 17, but I guess he used unnecessary crowd control for the lower entrances -- the RR is so slow, spread among four entrances, that you can do without crowd control and still save enough.

* Zany 12 "Twins", 7 skills. This is the builders-only solution I did for SYCLW, but looking at the SYCLW topic, I posted a replay for 4 builders, but not one for builders-only, so here it is.

A few improvements for Quirky. I haven't checked the levels beyond 21 yet.

4 and 17 are interesting, 13 was an oversight. 21 is one of those bat-shit-crazy RR manipulation ones, although there is also an interesting trick in there too.

EDIT: Done the rest now. Quirky 29 was the only additional improvement - suspect this too was a "overlooked that the level doesn't require 100%" case.

Some replays for Lunatic 1 to 10. Lunatic 2 is interesting, but I advise (for your sanity's sake) against trying to reproduce the other two. :P

Of less interest: 10 skills for Lunatic 12, 6 skills for Lunatic 15. (Both easily proven by the SYCLW results.)

Two more replays of interest. There's still some late-Lunatic levels I haven't looked at; I've taken a "pick and choose which ones I do" rather than sequential for these last few.

The Lunatic 18 improvement cannot be reproduced on DOS, there are multiple reasons why it fails.

And to finish off Redux, here's a two-skill solution to Quirky 13. It's one of the ones that requires the power of observation in CPM here. :P

OK, now I can remove my skill results from my personal document and just focus on the times...

The new version of Gentle 27 "Quest for Kieran" can be solved with 2 skills.

We're down to 1202 total; I wonder if we can make it 1200 exactly? There is one level where I believe 2 skills can be taken off, but it would require a lot of RR fiddling so we haven't gotten round to confirming it yet....
