Lix => Lix Multiplayer Dates => Topic started by: Minim on April 26, 2020, 06:04:45 AM

I'm one of the key workers that work on weekends but I'm free this weekend (i.e. the 8th, 9th and 10th). Also, it's nice to see RubiX returning to play Lix more often again. So I thought, why not initiate our first Multiplayer session of 2020? It's only two weeks away. I put a poll up for everyone to decide on the date. Looking forward to meeting everyone there. :8:()[:

Thanks for pushing this. I'll be happy to play!

I'd like to participate! Personally, any chosen date will do the trick for me. It would be great to test my skills with more players! :lix-grin:
Hoping to see this topic getting more attention.

I should be there as well. :)
-
I should be there too, doesn't really matter what day.

This sounds like fun! I guess I better get used to playing Lix...! :lix-smile:

Simon, is there a chance this session could be streamed?
I know Lucia would like to watch the session :)
-
I'll stream the session. Icho will likely record it separately.

Sounds good :)
It would be something like a 20:00 UTC time on one of those days then?
-
Looks like Saturday 9th is most popular, but barely. I'm still up for any day.
Saturday, 20:00 UTC would be 22:00 German summer time. That's fine for me, but may well be late for other Europeans.
Saturday, 18:00 UTC I propose, thus.

Saturday is best for me too, the earlier the better actually. Starting around 16:00 or 17:00 UTC would be the best fit for me.
(it's going to be a very hot week according to the report, lots of things to get done on the outside of the house that i'm building!)

I would also be up for starting this early if others are up for it. Got little else going on that day anyway, it's a good job someone posted in this topic. Nearly forgot this was still happening! :XD:

Saturday, 16:00 UTC is also very good for me.

Is there a way to know when to join? It may sound strange but as I have trouble understanding time, I am afraid of being late... :-[

This converts UTC to your local time:

Or tell us: Where in the world do you live? We can then tell you what 16:00 UTC is in your local time.

Ah, thanks a lot Simon! :lix-smile:

Usually the convention is if you want to voice chat during the session (or just generally hear what we are saying), you need to download Mumble. However if you just want to play and not hear the voice chat at all (there's still text chat), you're all set LanaandCo :)
Anyway, just letting you guys know that I am making a few new levels for this session as I always have ;)

It's good to know, thank you Flopsy! :cute:
I don't think I'm going to talk that much because the last time I had a discussion with an English speaker, he didn't understand me at all (I don't know if it's my English that is atrocious or if it's my strong French accent).
-
Surprised you are still using mumble, thought you would have moved to discord voice chat.
Anyway i'll be on the Lix server at 16:00 UTC tommorow (9am my time)
I have lots of support. Lex lemming is with me

Thanks everybody for playing. :lix-grin: We had 5-8 players for team games and free-for-alls, and we played for 4 hours.
During networked play, both Flopsy and I double-tapped Esc, which quits to the lobby. I want to make this Esc dialog more like the Editor's lose-data dialog: The second press of Esc dismisses the dialog and returns to play/editor. Thus, double-tapping Esc is no problem.
To exit the to lobby, you must first open the dialog by pressing Esc, then press the hotkey for data loss (mapped by default to G and Delete) that is harder to hit by accident.

I could hear you speaking and I understood most of what you said I think. :):lix-smile:
