Title: Ask a question, get a serious answer. (Mk 2)
Post by: grams88 on September 16, 2019, 11:02:04 PM
Nothing special I was thinking what about the honest game. The rules are simple all you have to do is (Someone on the forum asks a question and whoever answers the question has to answer the question honestly) Like for example I could ask what is your favorite first person shooter video game?

Anyone can answer that question but the person who answers the question will have to ask the next question. Hope I have explained  the rules okay for this game. (Okay I will start)

What is your favorite racing video game?

wipE'out"

What game, other than Lemmings, have you made custom levels for?

I've made a couple of Commander Keen levels, for every editable official game except Keen Dreams, but never released anything. (I've long since lost them, so a release won't happen.)
I made an open-source clone of BlockMan (https://www.lemmingsforums.net/index.php?topic=3897.0), with which I included a few custom levels I made. Most, if not all of these levels, would work in the original BlockMan. (No physics differences, but CubeGuy has no limit on level size, so I don't know if some would be too large for BlockMan.)
I also started making a level pack for Hungry Software's Ducks at one point, and did release a demo, though I never finished the pack. Although, this demo was larger than some full packs - albeit a major case of "quantity over quality" (though there were a few good levels in there, IIRC).
And while this isn't "a level for an existing game" in any way, I did outright make an entire RPG game: Legends of an Otherworld (https://www.lemmingsforums.net/index.php?topic=1653.0).

I remember looking at some jelly beans which looked tasty and maybe some odd shapes in there but once I found what some of the flavors were I was kind of shocked. (Toothpaste flavor) (Earwax flavor) (Black pepper) (Earth worm) which sounds disgusting. I think it was part of the Harry potter sweets collection or something like that.

Is there any show on TV you hate with a passion?

Reality TV... fake or real.

What can you completely not tolerate whatsoever?

I cannot tolerate people in real life that think they are better than me because they do or don't do something.

What is your favorite level from Lemmings 1 that is in the Fun difficulty?

Let's go to the moon. It looks gorgeous, and it's pretty fun too -- I've always liked levels where you don't have to build the entire route with one lemming, you can have one lemming start it and the next build a little piece and so on.

What was the first videogame you played, or the first that you still have memories of?

If we're including edutainment games, there was some Mickey Mouse game that I think was about throwing a party?

If we're talking real games, DOS Lemmings technically holds that honor, as it's the first proper game I had. However, due to a lack of a mouse (and lack of knowledge of the keyboard controls) at the time, I wasn't actually able to do much with it except watch lemmings walk around or splat (I did figure out how to change difficulty rank), so in practice, the honor goes to Commander Keen 4.

What's the most enjoyable boss fight you've ever had in a game? (Whether this is from a normal play, a self-imposed challenge, or a mod.)

Oh that would have to be the (Sandpolis boss from the sonic and knuckles game), I just like the way you went about it to hit the boss, I know knuckles one moved a lot faster so you had to attack him very quick. A lot of the other sonic and knuckles bosses were satisfying when you eventually beat them.  The tomb raider bosses were difficult as you had to hit them in a certain area to do damage.

What is your least favorite boss you've ever had a game?

Sorry I had to ask, might be harder to come up with an answer to that one maybe.

The boss from Donald Duck "AdV@ncE"!*#. I don't recall it well although I think it was less than a year ago that I did it, but in my memory it took over half an hour to beat, while I didn't feel like I was making mistakes, I just needed all that time to figure out how to abuse the boss' pattern to be able to survive, and how to avoid glitches that made me take damage when I wasn't supposed to. That I already forgot how it went, despite it taking so long and it being fairly recent is a good sign of it not being a fun or interesting fight either, I think. ;) Edit: This is not the hardest boss fight I've done, but of the ones that took me a lot of attempts, it was the least enjoyable one.

What countries have you visited?

For me it would just be (Spain) I bet you you were wanting someone else to answer that one.

I went to Madrid with the college back in 2008, it was good fun, we tried lots of different things. I remember doing really well with the basketball, scored around 7 baskets for my team, I really like basketball, might not be as good as what I was back in the day. The theme park was quite fun, I remember going on one of those waterlogs which was quite fun, I got soaked as well. I would really like to visit New Zealand, maybe America, Iceland, Norway,

Is there any video game you have played that the glitches have sort of ruined the game so to say?

Super Mario 64 for the DS. While the game itself wasn't glitchy, I remember accessing one cheat that permanently ruined the game because it lost my save state forever. I had no choice but to get rid of it.

As you might have noticed I re-wrote the title of the thread. :) Do you like it?

Yes that seems a good one Minim, I think technically it is the same game I guess because you are asking a question then giving an honest answer or serious answer which could be an honest answer as well.

I changed the title of the thread to match this new name. Hope that's okay :)

What's the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you? :-[

No worries at all Nessy.  :) It seems a more appropriate name.

Good question Nessy and it got me thinking about the next question to ask.

Okay I think I have one which still makes me cringe to this day, we used to have the school which came to my house to pick me up for school and I remember one when I was getting off the bus I usually say bye to the driver and the escort who was there to make sure the children were behaved and everything was okay. I remember saying bye mum to the escort as a mistake and putting my hand over my face saying oops out loud.

When I used to go for the auditions for the gameshows, I remember one question was something along the lines of (what is your most proudest moment) and it was saying you are not allowed to say giving birth to your kids as that would be number 1 usually.

What is your most proudest moment?

My proudest moment was graduating from university because no one in my family had and I was 30 when I started.

Which is better Coke or Pepsi (and yes Im serious)

Pepsi is better on its own, Coke is better as a mixer.

Pepsi Max Cherry is the best soft drink of them all! :lemcat:

Who is your favourite Simpsons character and why?

so weird this is your question cos I just told my husband that the worse simpsons character was Ned Flanders yesterday.

Favourite  tough one but I think I'd go with Moe, he's so angry but desperate for love, social awkward and lets bart wind him up with those phone calls plus Hank Azaria is great.

Who is the best Seth MacFarlane Character?
