Title: Forums are now HTTPS-enabled.
Post by: namida on October 12, 2017, 09:50:39 AM
I've added HTTPS support for the forums. This shouldn't make any difference to any end-user, except that URLs will now have https:// instead of http:// at the start (old links will redirect correctly).

Behind-the-scenes, it simply means that data sent between your PC (or other device) and the forums is now encrypted, which in practice pretty much just means "it's harder for people to intercept your login and find out your password that way". Not that it should matter as you should be using a different password (or at least only shared with other relatively unimportant logins) for this site, but hey, figured it can't hurt to do.

Seeing the whole Secure thing in the URL makes me more reassured
