Title: [BUG?][Player] Assigning blocker may not happen immediately
Post by: Colorful Arty on October 05, 2017, 05:36:33 PM
When you assign a lemming a blocker when they are close to another, they won't get turned into a blocker. This makes sense; you can't have overlapping blockers.

However, when you make a lemming a blocker too close to another one, it will make them a blocker after they have reached a sufficient distance. I do not think this should happen; if you assign a blocker to close to another, you should have to manually reassign it, as making it happen several frames after assignment is not consistent with how the player should work.

Well, it is consistent: Whenever you assign a skill that cannot immediately applied, the lemming will remember it for a few frames and apply it, when it becomes possible.
And in your case it vastly simplifies assigning two blockers as close as possible, which you apparently wanted to do. And for this you won't even need to framestep! So I would say: The player is working exactly as intended. :)

Weird; I never realized that was intended.
