Title: Multiplayer on 2017-04-08
Post by: Colorful Arty on April 06, 2017, 01:19:15 PM
I've been itching to try out Lix multiplayer for a while now, but I've been too busy with college work until now. Would anyone be up for a game this Saturday? I'm free all day on Saturday, so I can work my schedule around other peoples'.

Definitely up for it, but it would have to be earlier than 8pm my time (UK).

Early European evening is good for me. I suggest 16 to 19 UTC on Saturday, April 8. (17 to 20 in the UK, around noon in the US).

I will release bugfixes tonight or tomorrow. Observing a game won't affect the players anymore.

I will not be available unfortunately, I'll be attending Pokemon Regionals that same weekend

Any of those times should work for me. I'd prefer 17-19, but I can do 16 as well. That just means I'll be eating an early lunch! ;P

I won't be able to make this one sadly but I'd be up for any future organised games :)

We had excellent 4-player games with Colorful Arty, Proxima, and Rubix. Thanks!

Observer mode works as it should. Exploder visual countdown and chat typing field during game aren't in yet, but I should work on them soon. Overtime is missing, but surprisingly not super important, only medium-term important. We found the usual share of smaller bugs (https://github.com/SimonN/LixD/issues?q=is%3Aissue%20created%3A2017-04-06..2017-04-11). No desyncs. :-)

Discord on Arch refuses to record my default ALSA audio input when all other tools record perfectly. Solved. (http://www.lemmingsforums.net/index.php?topic=2288.msg63729#msg63729) I recommend Mumble over Discord for voicechat anyway. Mumble is open-source.
