Title: Chess match
Post by: Conway on April 19, 2005, 04:56:00 PM
Who plays chess? Who's up for a match? Post your moves here and we can keep track of the game either on a chess engine or a board (if you have one). If you don't have one, download a cool chess engine here! (http://www.tim-mann.org/chess.html)

 So how about it?

I sometimes play it against my brother. But I can't remember I have ever won against him. =P

I would've done the same move as he did I guess...

g8-f6

We could start multiple topics so we could hold multiple chess games at one time, or we could assign numbers to each game, for example, I would put at the top of my posts GAME 1.  When a new game starts, the players would announce it and assign themselves a number.

You reply very quickly.

Question-I forget how it looks when you Q side castle.  is it:

R on d and K on c?
-or-
R on c and king on b?

Anyhow-

It's king on c1/c8 and rook on d1/d8. Incidentally, queenside castling is still legal even if b1/b8 is attacked (though the other two squares can't be).
