Title: Lemmings - High Performance mode
Post by: Kirben on July 27, 2015, 09:20:42 AM
I was just wondering what all the differences are, when using the High Performance mode in the MS-DOS version of first Lemmings game.

The obvious difference is the improved color for control interface, but what else is effected when enabling High Performance mode?

The only other thing I know off top of my head, is that whenever you leave a level (whether by pressing ESC or more importantly, when time runs out), the game does a slower fade out instead of a more instantaneous blackout, during which time the game is still running (so lemmings exiting during that fade-out time still counts).  In effect it gives you a second or so of extra time.

It also slowed things down on my older machine.
