Title: extracting L1's Terrain images/tiles
Post by: LJLPM on October 20, 2014, 05:48:43 PM
Hello,
I have a technical question here:
what is the best (easiest? quickest?) way for extracting (as ".gif") the individual Terrain gfx from Lemmings1's .dat files, please? (DOS' Lemmings1)
Thanks!

Lemmix has a built in extraction tool that generates bitmaps. You should probably be able to convert it then.

Ok, thanks!
Using Mindless' lemmingsdatadecompressor, then namida's dlgfxex did the job

Great tools there!

ps: did Lemme stand for LemEdit, or is Lemme a tool I'm not aware of?

I think he meant the Lemmix editor.

Anyway, remind me at some point to add an extraction feature to the NeoLemmix editor (as it can handle both PNG and GIF, and can handle graphic sets with 32 colors which my older tool can't).

I meant lemmix, but I was typing on my tablet, and the auto correct changed it. >:(
