I'd like to gather up some channel links in this post, so we can find your stuff!
Technical advice is welcome too. What hardware and software do you need, how do you set it up, how do you make your videos look nice (if at all)?
So far, the only time I got sufficiently motivated to upload to Youtube is when geoo came up with that infamous 1-builder save 100% solution to DOS ONML Tame 13:

möbius: Apparently you haven't read my review about Tijmen Bok's levels in Lemmini Level Pack Topic (you said that you discovered his levels recently). That makes me wonder if I write that kind of stuff there in vain. After all, you are one of the very few who I thought to follow this Lemmini topic. Also, yeah ssam1221 was familiar to me, but this guy seemingly put that download link in his channel recently, so I downloaded his pack just like a week ago! UltimateJay was familiar to me, too.
sorry Akseli but I did read that, I just forgot, it was a few months ago. It's alright. I was wondering though because you commented his video "Where I can get your levels?" and my review included the download button... it still works, doesn't it? Nice that my list let you know more new level makers, though!
at the time I didn't have time to play a lot of packs and I personally like to look at a video of them before judging if I want to play them or not. I'm not so good at making judgments from reading and I read all that but I don't think I actually tried any of the packs. I just don't have the time. I don't even know if I'll get time to play Tijmen Bok's levels now.
thanks for this list anyway. There are a lot more than I knew of.
Thanks for that list Akseli. I'll add those into the top post.Very nice! Eric119 was a new guy for me. : )
I think you should do that first, just to get the hang of Youtube, if that's what you really want to do.
If I had a channel I'd mostly do level solutions - my levels, challenges, maybe other custom levels - and also some of the (few) other games I play.
Good catch about that other topic, I forgot about it.
I'm actually in a similar situation to möbius there - sort of thinking about it, but a bit overwhelmed. My roadblocks are:If I had a channel I'd mostly do level solutions - my levels, challenges, maybe other custom levels - and also some of the (few) other games I play.
- General distrust in Google / Youtube / other internet signups (hence my question "is Youtube evil?"), and consequently unwillingness to sign up unless I can really gain from it.
- Complete lack of presentation skills / confidence / whatever. Of course one goal of such a venture would be to cure this (:
- Lack of time (basically 1.5 day per week, maybe a bit of evening), not great for momentum and creative flow.
Anyone made any Lemmings videos lately? At least Gronkling has been uploading Gronklems7 solutions in his channel. Avoid watching them if you want to play them yourself at first!

Nice work with the undamaged challenge video, Luis!
GuyPerfect: You also have three custom levels outside your playlist you linked. Also, I remember that your YouTube name was PerfectKiosk (or something like that?) some time ago.

A very nice thread indeed, I know lots of YouTube Lemmings people, I'll post here those who haven't been active lately or don't have an account here if it's ok.

Let me know if you'll find mistakes in my list about who is who etc.
Then I know of course Adam's, Crane's, Gronkling's, Insane Steve's, Luis' and Pieuw's channels, but maybe they want to tell something about their channels? : )
I don't have videos in YouTube, but I have an account so I can comment others' videos.
And yeah, I listed mostly those who show custom levels in their channels. If I'll add those who have things like playthroughs of Lemmings, then the list will be even larger. They are more unknown to me than custom level makers.
Hi everyone (A bit of a warning)
Just thought I would point this out but one of the websites I've went to recently which is lemmings related seems to keep saying that they have found a virus on the website, I'm hoping that the website is safe but my virus checker goes mad when I go on it. I've came across the website many times in the past because it's got one of my other favorite games on it which is duke 3d.
Oh wait a minute I checked the you tube websites again I think it might be a website where I used to download the cheapo lemming packs. I'm sorry to say but I think it might be the (Garjen) website, I'm hoping it's nothing to worry about but my virus checker goes mad once I go on it.
Copycat Lemmings is actually a great idea. I haven't played the majority of it in such a long time, so it'll be virtually like a vanilla playthrough.
I'm almost finished with GigaLems now, so if anyone would like to recommend a pack to take on next, fire ahead. Has to be Lemmix or NeoLemmix, since Lemmini's lack of comparable fine-control features really tends to bug me. xD Otherwise, I'll probably do one of the cLemmings packs.
I played the Lemmix version of it very briefly, but that's all. The new version is going to be NeoLemmix, right? In that case I'd love to do a playthrough of it. (Regular Lemmix is fine too, but for reasons I've discussed plenty of times I'd rather avoid Lemmini / SuperLemmini packs.)
Also, what trouble are you having with the special graphics levels?
So, we have plenty of videos of people playing levels - but I thought I'd make something a bit different today.
Here's a video of me making a level for Lemmings Plus V. Enjoy. :)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53dMYMF2LgM
Mine is the cheapo bubble style; does this mean anything? [except the fact that maybe this happens simply because I happen to have the cheapo bubble style?]
So I wrapped up MobiLems II a few days ago, and have now started on NepsterLems. Already completed the first rank; though I'm very much expecting that I won't get through the rest of the game nearly as quickly. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVWvcY0oGEFxHKGjkakaVlXbl-C6YPcnP
Also, for those who it may interest (and didn't see me mention it in #NeoLemmix), I'm also putting up the odd video here and there of me playing on PokerStars as well. I figure this won't have as much of a large interest here, but there's bound to be a few people who'd like to watch. So far I've only played Texas Hold'em, probably because that's the only Poker variant that PokerStars offers that I'm anywhere near good with, but if there's enough interest in the vids I might consider doing some low-value Omaha games in the future (I know how to play Omaha, I'm just not very good at it). https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVWvcY0oGEFx4mzZgRercUu3CGv34uooZ
Even if you do nothing wrong, false alarms do occur. I decided to look through all my videos in case of other cases of it, and found two levels in MobiLems II where the music had been misidentified. Fortunately, these ones didn't lead to the videos being blocked, just possibly having ads placed on them. (There were also several in MobiLems II - again, not blocking, just possibly ad-placing - where it genuinely was using the music it identified it as; but these two - both the same track - were a false positive.)
Okay, got a question for all.
If I were to do a Let's Play of a lemming pack (which is very unlikely at the moment, but just curious), do I actually have to complete the level and not skip it? Everyone I know so far has chosen to complete the level no matter how hard it is, even though there is the option to skip levels in Lemmix, NeoLemmix, Lemmini, SuperLemmini (both by the cheat 0xdeadbeef which unlocks every level) and Lix. Even roundthewheel gave up after he was unable to complete a level in PimoLems.
My way of solving packs is that if a level is hard, I just skip it. I don't think it's fair if I stay stuck on a level and choose to give up in the end.
Any of the Lemmix-to-NeoLemmix NXPs. However, I don't think they work with the current version of NeoLemmix, the NXPs are only in v1.43n-F and it will give a backwards compatibility error.
this weekend I'll be alone, will have time and won't have to be quiet; which means I could stream if I wanted to; which I'm seriously thinking about. But I don't really know what to stream. I think I have a few options;Hpefully i'll have my problem taken care of, that and i have a prerelease to go to early in the day
1) I'll play levels people submit to me to play. Anyone can send me a level to play here; it must be either NeoLemmix or Lix.
2) Play someone's random pack. Suggestions are welcome.
3) The pokemon thing I posted about earlier.
4) Some other game, suggestions are welcome.
-----
Also; I need some advice from the people who've streamed. What should I use? Arty, Insane Steve, any tips or whatever?
And I'd like to use Skype while doing it too like you guy's have been doing. Playing levels will be better if people are there to help me along--two heads are better ;)
If this works-- I'll be avaialbe on Thursday, [probably not] Friday, but Saturday and Sunday, maybe even Monday.
Now at Christmas I want to reveal a little "secret" unofficial Project ;)
Maybe some of you were a bit surprised why I pushed for some Xmas Lem fixes all of a sudden when I am normally not so invested in these kind of things.
I said I wanted to make a little best-of Xmas pack for a friend, but that's only half the truth. ;)
Last christmas I stumbled across a german Youtuber called Deepstar making a let's play of "Holiday Lemmings Plus" (in german).
I made contact with him and promised a newly created pack for this year.
This pack won't be further supported by me and I also won't make a extra download topic for it, it is created specifically created for him for his let's play purpose.
In fact the levels in there are a mix of: Lemmings Reunion Snow and Xmas levels, PimoLems Snow levels, some contest entries and a few Reunion 2 levels so be aware of a few spoilers upon watching! (so you can already play most of the levels anyway ;P)
This was also a great opportunity to get some level testing for me and some NL testing for "somewhat newer" players.
Link to the playlist (let's play in german language): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSJuXwQNUDs&list=PLsuchTlhr9Yz5TZEnkDLypwINNF5l2rMe&index=1
Each video contains 1 level and there are 24 in total :)
So if you want to take a little look, here you go! :) I think he would welcome some views and maybe even comments (he understands english ;))
So, is this thread still only about Lemmings-related content? :D Because recently people have been posting about other games they LP on their channels and similar.
There is no requirement that it has to be about Lemmings content, it's just a place to talk about your latest YouTube adventures :)
I'm actually glad that Lemmings World Tour has some hidden meanings within it, SEB Lems is very music orientated as you'll find out if you haven't already ;).
I feel packs need to have a very good reason to be called what they are called, that's why I still have not got a name for my unnamed 2nd pack after being in development since before Christmas.
I'm discontinuing all of my Lemmings and Lix LPs on my channel until further notice.
I feel like there is a lack of remaining content at the moment, I need to wait for more packs to be released.
but I feel like I need to come off the Lemmings genre in general for now.
QuoteI feel like there is a lack of remaining content at the moment, I need to wait for more packs to be released.
Really? You've played them all? Or did you just get stuck on all those you're currently playing (the technical difficulties with "Lemmicks" aside)? ;)
Because, while I'm still working on Lemmings World Tour, I've slowed down the pace considerably, partly due to my own YouTube channel, partly because Lemmicks has basically just been released, but didn't get that much attention. A lot of people did some "leafing" through them, trying a couple of levels here and there, but so far I don't believe anyone was able to finish it. I would like to believe that's due to the difficulty, of course, :D, but I doubt it.
Why does everyone naturally think that I get stuck on packs? I stop playing the packs when they stop becoming fun to play when the levels are just too much stress, I get no satisfaction from solving them and I feel a grudge towards the pack creator. Those don't make for fun youtube videos.
Also I'm sick of this Flopsy stereotype with levels where they have solutions which seem obvious but then when my initial approach doesn't work, I get upset and call the level stupid, I'm not the only Lemmings player who has ever done that in the history of Lemmings Let's Plays.
Regarding the Lemmicks issues, I explained my reasons for postponing the LP and I feel my reasons are legitimate.
Basically, I don't like the person I'm playing in my videos, I feel like Lemmings brings out the worst in my personality especially when it seems some levels are going out of the way to be stupidly difficult.
If the anger gets points predominantly at the pack creator rather than "the game" itself, that's of course something that might rub people the wrong way. Personally, I'd take that as a compliment, too, for having created something challenging.
I know I promised 5 videos a week instead of 4
This new schedule will likely start this Thursday. The first World Tour video will come out this Friday. All uploads should be at noon EST.Thanks for informing me!
I'm very excited about LM2, but I'm staying away from any videos until I've had time to play it for myself.
No, the videos have the correct track numbering as regards the Amiga version. Tracks 1-3 are the same numbers as DOS, 4-6 are different.
I will not be uploading videos again until next Monday 6/24/2019, since I haven't gotten around to recording my next LP (blame my birthday presents taking my time away from it). :P
This coming Tuesday on February 2nd, I will finally be returning to Lemmings World Tour after a 2 year hiatus.
Coincidentally, there happen to be 40 total such levels from all 3 packs, although if I'm not mistaken 1 was left out?

Another thing I would probably like to do is projecting the questions to be visible as well. I have absolutely no clue how to go about doing this, especially since I'm not really into video editing and all, as I'm so bad at it. Any suggestions for this are welcome.
Something that's been floating in my mind for the last few weeks, and that is for the start of 2022, I'm thinking of breaking the mold from all the LP videos of Lemmings level packs on my YT channel by doing a Q&A/AMA for my next video. You know, as a way for all of you to get to know me better. Would anyone be interested in such a video? If there is interest, I'm not sure how I will get question submissions from you users. One way I thought about is maybe making an announcement video and then you simply drop off a question(s) in the comments section. Another is, of course, doing a live video, but as I don't think many would be able to be present when it does go live, I likely won't do it this way. Or, I guess questions can either be dropped here in a post or PMed to me.

Do you use Mac or PC? If you have access to a Mac for video editing, go with iMovie. It's simple to use and has all of the stuff like text overlays and transitions and all that jazz - it's what I use for most of my video editing.
For PC, I use a paid software called HD Movie Maker Pro (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/hd-movie-maker-pro/9n9kbwp6hvqq?activetab=pivot:overviewtab), which is currently on sale for $10. It's well worth it if you do a lot of videos, but takes a bit more getting used to than iMovie.
As for a Q&A, maybe get people to post their questions for you in your LP topic?
Q&A sounds interesting, you could also do a youtube stream or something and answer questions as they come in while playing / making a level or something if you don't want to go down the edited route - as the live chat should be saved with the vod. To add to WillLem's suggestions for editors, I've used davinci resolve in the past - it is free & available on win/mac/linux (though you have to sign up to get a download). It is pretty feature rich - but using it to cut clips together is fairly straightforward if you ignore the adanced tabs. If you want to see what it looks like Gamefromscratch did a video on it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VXXgP4inOs)
That's a great idea! I will throw some questions if that happens. Maybe you can make a post in LF to gather some questions. Or probably you can make a google question form so people can send in their questions.
