Well, for those of you who use Flash (4.0a), I have some problems I need to ask about. A0;I'm making a game called towers. A0;It has several movie clips in it though, that are all in constant motion. A0;This eats all of the memory, so the game runs rediculously slow. A0;There are no current solutions to this problem. A0;Helpful hints?

Are they always visible? If yes, try to reduce the curves. If not, can't you make them stop while they are out of the screen?

How about forcing the game to start in low quality, giving players the option to switch to a higher quality if they think their computer can take it?

Uh, it's slow even in low quality, and I'm not quite sure if it's just the computer that is having trouble, or if it's the Flash player itself.

UPDATE: I found a solution. All I did was reduce the number of soldiers allowed per player to 15. Also, each soldier is not always operating. The soldier movie is created only when it's supposed to come into the playing field.
These things seemed to help a lot.
When I get done with this game, I'll tell you
I still need to-
-do AI (owch)
-finish spells (extreme owch)
-finish battle system
-do catapult
-fix a couple minor bugs.
