Post by: GigaLem on November 05, 2010, 11:43:25 PM
This is a place where you can set up a L++ versus game to play (2-8 players)
Be the first to start a versus game (becuase you know i'm up for it)

How about tomorrow, November 7th at 16:00 UTC?

(In case that time doesn't suit you at all, post where you live, so we can find a better one. geoo and me live in Germany, so that's late afternoon for us.)

If you have an L++ version from March 2010, we can play on Mindless' central server. It's reachable by the first button in the networking menu. If you have a later version, I'll host myself, in which case I'll post the IP address in this thread shortly before the game.

Level names don't have to be translated to all the languages. If the German field is empty, the English title is used. The German field is a relic from the early days of development anyway. :-)

I'll be available from about 20:00 UTC/GMT most days. I haven't played in months, so if you want some easy wins then here's your chance ;)

Please can you let me know the IP or server name to connect to for the central server in L++ because the flux.camanis.net default does not seem to be working at all. Thanks!

I can host myself in case the server is down. We can agree on a date here if you like. I'll post my IP address here in time then, as it changes at least daily.

How about Sunday, 2011-01-09 at 18:00 UTC?

Edit: Nobody joined, so I deleted the post with the IP again. The IP wouldn't be of much use anyway.

Alternatively, if you use IRC, join irc.quakenet.org #lix and we can organize a game spontaneously.

Unfortunately, until further notice, I can't host the L++ server or much of anything.  Sorry. :(

Yes, development has been active. If you want to play, there's two main options:
You need an up-to-date version of Lix, downloadable on its homepage (website icon under my avatar). Select "connect to central server", unless someone explicitly wants to host himself and has posted his IP address.

Take a look two posts up from your reply :)

As for getting a game, now seems to be a busy time of the year for many people (I'm mostly busy for the next week or so, and I know Simon is too), but still there's a decent chance you'll get a match. In the meantime of course, there's plenty of singleplayer levels to check out ;).

We're planning to have a Lix multiplayer session on Friday, starting at around 23 UTC. (Basically, check when GMT hits 23:00:00 here http://www.csgnetwork.com/timezncvt.html , or see your timezone relative to that.)
You can also join the IRC channel #lix on irc.quakenet.org
