How do I play these level packs that people are posting nothing seems to work.. Would someone mind pointing/writing up a faq on the subject he help me get started,
You have Customized Lemmings level packs and Cheapo Copycat level packs.
Customized Lemmings Level Packs
Two possibilities :
1. With Customized Lemmings (obviously). Simply download it and install it on your computer. Then, after that, download any level pack you want and rename it so that it is called: Levelpak.dat and place it into the same directory of where you installed the game. Then, start Customized Lemmings under Dosbox (it depends of the version. I recommend you NoCDLem (http://www.geocities.com/guestlevels/lemmings/nocdlem.zip)). Click on "1 Player" to start the game and play those levels.
2. Play them using Lemmix (http://home.hccnet.nl/ericenzwaan/lemmix/lemmix.htm).
Cheapo Copycat Level Packs
Download Cheapo Copycat and install it. Then, simply download a level pack you want and put it in the Levels directory. Start Cheapo Copycat and locate the level pack into the level packs list or into the single levels list. Be sure you have the proper Style set before playing or it will result as a crash. Install the Style sets into the Styles folder.
I think it's ok.
Though I wouldn't know myself, it should be.

I would love to play them with lemmix but have no idea how to do this. I assume you use the level editor and make a game file but for some reason it gives me an error...
Cannot find: Groundo0.dat for example among other errors...
Any hints I'm bound and determined to get this thing working...

What I really need is a detailed walk through if possible.
Sounds like you're missing some data files from the original Lemmings game (or maybe Oh No More Lemmings).
Try this link: http://it.travisbsd.org/lemmings/lemmings.php and download Lemmings (DOS) and copy the required files from it to the Lemmix folder.
I own all the originals...
My problem is, I cannot figure out where to put what, where...
Right now I have all the games in folders (and installed).
And a .zip file that says lemmix editor...
What next ???
