Title: Lemmings 1 "TIM3" music originated from an old Amiga demo?
Post by: Mr. K on August 21, 2007, 09:41:46 PM
I came across this old Amiga demo, Puggs in Space (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kIqu_S0txc)... if you watch that into the main part, the music sounds like the TIM3 song from the original Lemmings game.  However, I looked this demo up and it was released in 1989.  And this is more than just a passing resemblance.  It's nearly exact.

Huh.  Strange it would be used in Lemmings though, seeing as all the other songs were classical music or popular public domain tunes.

AFAIK, there was some old games that used "classical" musics in the old time, like Loom or The Incredible Toons Machine. Lemmings is included in these.

Wait a sec.

*goes and looks up stuff*

AHA IT MAKES SENSE NOW.

Puggsy = platformer by Psygnosis based on the 1989 demo.  I guess they picked up the music from the demo and it got put into Lemmings...
