Rabblings is a browser puzzle game in the Lemmings and Pingus tradition. A stream of unruly rabblings marches towards danger. You can't control them directly. You hand out skills so that enough of them reach the door. It has a Mega Drive look and plays in the browser, with nothing to install.
What it can do
- Seven playable races, each with its own look and its own skills:
- Swamp folk have a Tongue that eats foes or zips them up walls, and Spears that hammer a staircase into a wall.
- Imps can hop and throw fire pots.
- Fairies glide and put enemies to sleep.
- Dwarves have a steam pack and a cannon that fires troops across the map.
- Rats use risky spring boots and mines.
- Skeletons raise the fallen, merge into a big fighter, and tip bone towers over as bridges.
- Mushroom folk grow mushroom staircases and calm the troop with spores.
- The classic skills are all there too: climb, flap, bomb, block, bridge, bash, pick and dig.
- Hazards and enemies: foes with their own behaviour (bow raiders that lob volleys, brutes, stalkers), traps, water and lava.
- Two-player sabotage mode for head-to-head play.
- A map builder, so you can make and share your own maps.
- You can hurt your own rabblings. Spears crush anyone in the way, and a tipping bone tower flattens whatever is under it.
- Import your favourite NeoLemmix maps. Thanks to the generosity of Namida, NeoLemmix maps can be imported into Rabblings and played with our races and skills.
Testers needed
I'm looking for people to play it and break it. Useful things to report:
Rabblings getting stuck in walls or in the scenery.
Levels you can't finish, or that feel unfair.
Skills that don't do what the description says.
Anything confusing in the menus or the mission briefing screen.
Screenshots, the map name and what you were doing when it went wrong.
A line from you is enough. Say which race and map, and what happened.
