As I've recently finished streaming kieran millar's QFK2, his custom L2 pack, I've decided to go back to roots a bit before taking on his custom L3 pack. In about an hour, at 5PM PST, I'm going to stream some NepsterLix. I've already solved all of NepsterLems back in 2023, though it took me nearly 3 years to do so, all courtesy of a level in the Black Hole rank which I was stuck on for a very long time. Am I still up to snuff with Nepster's levels after all this time? Let's find out!

Sorry, YouTube only, not Twitch. I don't even have an account for the latter, and I don't see myself signing up for one anytime soon :P
By the time I decided to give LPing a try, I had already solved too much of NepsterLems and hence decided to solve all of the pack offline. With NepsterLix, I can at least stream the entire thing from scratch, as I have never played any of it and some of these levels should be completely new to me due to not being ported over to NeoLemmix.
While this is to see how I fare with Nepster's custom Lix pack, this will also be as a way to provide feedback for the rewind to previous assignment feature, which I suggested to Simon to implement from a few years back. I'm sorry I left this hanging for so long without providing any feedback before it made its way into a stable Lix release :forehead: During gameplay, I suspect I will miss the NL implementation, but you'll understand why once you see me use it a few times ;)
Hi,
see kaywhyn's announcement post above:
Starts in 20 minutes.

@Simon
Thanks! I've merged my post from the NepsterLix topic to this one!
Planning to stream more NepsterLix in an hour, Monday, August 24, 2026 at 5PM PST (00:00 UTC). Sorry again for such a short notice. I generally can only stream in the late afternoon, which unfortunately is a pretty bad time for European residents, as it would be midnight or past.
See you if you're able to make it. I show the solution to Moon 7 and then we see how many more levels of the pack I can solve from there! ;)

All rightie, next NepsterLix stream will be scheduled for Friday August 28, 2026 at 5PM PST (00:00 UTC). Hopefully this will be fine, as I'm trying to accommodate both Armani and Flopsy (and of course Simon if he's able to), who weren't able to make my stream last time. Especially the latter, as I know how much he loves Lix, and I'm more than happy to have him be a part of my future Lix streams from now on  He also gave me advice back either the end of 2020 or early 2021 to consider looking at Lix content if I'm ever running out of NL content to play. Well, that time has pretty much finally come for me, as I'm now more or less out of NL content to play. So, time for me to check out all the wonderful Lix content!
As usual, I unfortunately can generally only stream in the late afternoon, by which point it's generally not a good time for European residents, as it would be midnight or past when it's 5PM PST (my time zone). However, given that tomorrow is the weekend, I think this should be fine, as I think we're generally up late on those days anyway instead of sleeping in or whatnot
See you tomorrow if you're able to make my NepsterLix stream. No worries if you're not able to make it at the very start, just come in whenever you're able to at any time the stream is still going!
Third stream is over and was on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 5PM PST:

Edit: Oops, I forgot to post the link before I went live :forehead: Must remember to do this! Not used to this apparently :P
All rightie, I would like to stream some more NepsterLix in an hour, Monday, August 31, 2026, at 4PM PST (23:00 UTC). This is an hour earlier than I normally stream. Once more, sorry for the late notice.
See you if you can make it, and I'll try and remember to post the link when I start this time, as I forgot to do that the last time! :forehead:
5th stream is over and was on Monday, August 31.

All rightie, next stream will be tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 4PM PST (23:00 UTC). Tomorrow is pretty much the only good day left this week that I'm able to stream, as I anticipate a busy weekend and hence I won't be able to stream at all this upcoming weekend. Looking ahead, I'm not too far from the infamous level that held up my being able to solve all of NepsterLems for 3 years, and there's a very likely chance I'll be playing that level in NepsterLix tomorrow :P
See you at the stream tomorrow if you're able to make it! ;)

All rightie, after a really busy past weekend, I'm finally going to be streaming some more NepsterLix later today, Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 4PM PST (23:00 UTC). There's only 16 levels remaining (15 Black Hole levels left plus the final level that's been moved to its own "Final" rank), plus a full rank of 11 Outtakes levels, but I'm doubtful I'll be finishing the rest of the pack up. If so, then I'll likely finish up whatever remains on Friday, September 11, 2026, at probably around the same time as today's stream. That one will likely be a much better day for others to catch the stream and to possibly see me stream NepsterLix one last time before I finish it all up ;)

All rightie, next NepsterLix stream will be Friday, September 11, 2026 at 4PM PST (23:00 UTC). This will very likely be the final stream, as there's 15 levels remaining (3 Black Hole levels, 1 Final level, and a full rank of 11 Outtakes levels). It's been a blast playing through the pack ever since I first started, and while there have been some solutions that I have forgotten, it doesn't really matter, as given enough time I'm able to solve the level. Needless to say, I haven't lost too much of my touch with Nepster's levels even after all this time, despite how NepsterLix is many times harder than NepsterLems IMO.
See you there if you're able to make it! ;)

Sorry again for the very late and last minute notice, but I'll be streaming NepsterLix in an hour, Sunday, September 13, 2026, 5PM PST (00:00 UTC). I was going to make the announcement earlier, but I was busy replacing my laptop speakers with the new ones that arrived at my house earlier today, which I set out to do after I got home from lunch with my father. Took longer than it should had, but only because I was a dumb dumb and wondered what had happened to the T5 Torx screwdriver, as I couldn't find it even though I knew I put it somewhere on my bed sheet cover. I spent a few minutes looking for it, because I won't be able to put the laptop cover back on without it! :forehead: I eventually did find it, and it turns out it was really well hidden in a fold of the bed sheet cover. Well, I better make sure I put it aside in a small bowl next time, just like I did with the screws! That way I guarantee I can find it later on!
Anyway, the aim is to finish up the rest of the pack. I was able to get Outtakes 10 solved offline last night, so it will be a show the solution to the level and then we move on to the final level of Outtakes 11. If I finish early enough, then I think what I will do is revisit the levels that have a time limit in NepsterLems, as I believe some of my Lix solutions will time out. However, it would be necessary to know the formula for converting between seconds and ticks. Is it the same as when it used to be referred to as phyu? If so, then it should be 15n + 30 as stated in the NepsterLix level pack topic. Somewhere else, I saw 15n + 45. So, conflicting info, because here, either the first spawn is after 2 seconds or 3 seconds.
Anyway, see you there if you're able to make it. Sorry again that it's such short notice!
QuoteHowever, it would be necessary to know the formula for converting between seconds and ticks.
This is too short a notice to dig into Lix history.
I don't remember when Nepster designed the maps and whether lix would spawn 4, 2, or 1 second into play when Nepster made the maps. I.e., I don't know if the earliest-viewable physics update was 0, 30, or 45, when Nepster designed the maps.
If you want to avoid false positives (solutions that pass but what Nepster would have ruled a fail), you might even rule that lix spawn 4 seconds after 0. But maybe that's impossible. I'd solve the maps as fast as possible and see what you get. IIRC the Nepsterlix thread tells you: 15n + 30 is doable, and we're unsure if 15n is doable.

15n+45 would be the mere conversion of ticks in seconds, since 15 ticks are a second and Lix starts at 45 ticks. (The first spawn is at 60 ticks.)
But NepsterLix was designed for late C++-Lix, which still had time limits. According to Simon in the NepsterLix thread Lix spawned at 2 seconds in newer C++-Lix. In D-Lix they already spawn after 1 second (45+15=60). That's why in the calculation 1sec=15 ticks are substracted, which leads to 15n+30.
This would lead to
"Just a quickie" has 30s, i.e. 480 phuys in D-Lix
Nepster's own replay says 460 phyus for saving the last required lix.
"It's hero time again!" has 60s, i.e. 930 phyus in D-Lix
Nepster's own replay says 923 phyus for saving the last required lix.
"Time Out" has 180s, i.e. 2730 phyus in D-Lix
Nepster's own replay says 2739 phyus for saving the last required lix.
Nepster's replay is over the limit with 15n+30 for "Time Out" but the Level file says actually 210s ('#SECONDS 210'), which would be 3180 ticks. So this could be a mistake in naming the level since the other levels have the corresponding #SECONDS line. (The level is solvable under 2730 ticks as a side note.)
