Honestly it's shame this game never got released, it looked pretty cool and kinda reminded me of 3d lemmings in a way.
Maybe you could post lemmings forever stuff in places like lost media forums?

Oh wow. Yeah, I can see why it was cancelled. I honestly would've thought that was something a (very young) fan made up as "fanon" if it weren't for the video links, especially with some of those skills!

The famous era where everything had to turn to 3d.
Responsible for lemmings' loss of interest to many people ?

yikes
if youd like to pitch in you can
if you have any issues with the formatting you can change it
one day we can compile all the info we have and turn it into a compactn't script and dump it on tomato because they are the only one that makes edited lemmings videos that show more then gameplay

It's certainly possible that Lemmings as a concept didn't quite gel with the 'let's make everything 3D' era of gaming. L3D itself never really took off, but that could be more because it was woefully underdeveloped.

More recently, there is a move back towards 2D in many games (Celeste, Deltarune, Baba Is You) and they're all the better for it. Lemmings might see a mainstream resurgence in the next decade or so, or perhaps games similar to it. There are clearly developers still interested in making Lemmings clones (https://www.lemmingsforums.net/index.php?topic=7487.msg109160;topicseen#msg109160).

I think a lot of the recent resurgence in 2D games comes down to the increase in the visibility and popularity of indie games, and the fact that 2D games are considerably easier to make.

Yeah that, but computers have already mastered everything, so it went from trying to push hardware limits to gameplay limits.

can we get back to talking about forever btw
