Title: Lemmings Collectibles Topic
Post by: Mobiethian on March 22, 2024, 12:34:45 PM
Hello folks! I want to share my Lemmings collection and hopefully we can all see what you have too! I know there is a topic already about merchandise, but I didn't think I wanted to bump it and it seemed different than what I am posting, enjoy!

Thanks! I like your collection as well. Awesome! You have TWO Lemmings plushies! Very nice, indeed.

Keep up the building of your collection and I shall say, I have never seen those Lemmings games before, nice too! :) Thank you for sharing, Paiy!

Did you back up those floppies and CDROMs somewhere?  That's never a bad idea, especially considering how old those floppies and CDROMs are.

I absolutely did, thanks so much for the reminder though. ;)

I forgot to show my Lemmings solution book. It also has two diskettes included. The warranty seal was never broken on them in the book.

My first ever U.S. Super Nintendo game! I have never owned any other Nintendo games before. I've always preferred Sega, specifically Sonic the Hedgehog. But this is a nice gift received today! I love it!

I've managed to get my hands on the Video Game series stamps from the UK! 8-) I am actually a major stamp collector, so it's a pleasure to have the Lemmings stamp in the collection.

Recently got this nice Lemmings 2 - The Tribes advertisement for Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. These magazine ads seem to be highly collectable now.

A really good friend of mine made these for me. Amazing cross stitch work!

There is every type of original lemming there, including a Christmas lemming tree ornament.

Great news! I was finally able to get the music working for the CD version of Lemmings on Dosbox  It turns out that you need a little more than just -t cdrom 0. You actually need to type -t cdrom -usecd 0. So, the full Dosbox command is

mount f f:/ -t cdrom -usecd 0

where f is the letter drive of my external CD drive. Simply replace f with the letter of yours :)

Then, you do f: => lemmings => pc speaker and pc compatible, where f is once again the letter drive of the CD drive, so just replace that with yours.

If instead you want the Dos sound effect of the entrance opening, then after f: you do "cd lemmings" (without the quotes) => vgalemmi => 1 for VGA. Then you'll get the Dos sound effect of the entrance opening but you'll still get the Canadian PC soundtracks playing

I've also emailed you the instructions for Dosbox. When you get the chance, please try this out with your CD of Lemmings and let me know if it worked for you

It's too bad that mine still won't work. You're really good with this though! Excellent work there!

So, since we've discussed it before, here are are Lemmings CDs with the regular DOS versions on them. I don't remember how I got two of them, but only one fits in the CD case and they both have the same contents. No CD music.

Hello, I'm new here! :) I am quite pleased with Mobiethian's collection of Lemmings items. I am proud to say I was the one who made the cross stich lemmings, which was a real challenge. Hopefully I can make some more in the future!

What is the highest row, fourth column from the left, to the left of the lemming with a number above his head supposed to be?

The bomber skill assigned to a blocker when it's timed! :P On the platforms/engines where the skill is timed, when you assign the bomber skill, a 5 would appear over the Lemming's head. After 5 seconds, the Lemming would explode. Alternatively, it's the same thing that happens when you set off the nuke except all Lemmings on the screen get the countdown, meaning it's essentially the same as assigning the timed bomber skill to all the individual Lemmings if you were provided enough for the level.

That particular lemming is actually a floater. kevinmichael didn't have the white and red colors at the time he made those. Thanks for asking!

This is a great collection, Mobiethian. I remembers years ago I had a Lemmings choose-your-own-adventure book. No idea how many were made, but I remember it being really cool. These days all I have is the Floater figure (whose stand sadly broke) and the talking plush as well as the Mega Drive games.

Thank you kindly, Lehnah! I like those books but never seen any of them yet. Cool!   I should probably show my Lemmings painting from original artist Adrian Powell!  :)
