Title: WinLemEdit
Post by: Pheee on June 28, 2006, 10:48:12 AM
Hey everyone, dont know if you remember me or what.

But I did progress with my windows Level editor, I upgraded it to .Net 2. and got a website.

www.sourcearena.net.

My Beta 1 has loading, a sprite viewer, you can edit variables and even save that.

Beta 2 is in progress, i have drag and drop almost working, which is basically what is needed to create a level.

Drop by and let me know what you think. If people like it so far, and push me and help me test, I will work quicker. haha. just like my job :p

Thanks to 0xdeadbeef for his sprite code in java which I had to port to .net 2, and had to find all the functions that java had but not .net :( but I did it.

Thanks.

I noticed there is another Editor for windows being made Lemmix.

Now there is no point having 2 if they do the same.

So let me know what you think so I consider to continue or not.

Thanks and Bye

Eric is pretty ambitious. Looks like he's even trying to create competition for Lemmini ;)
Then again, competition is never a bad thing...

It would be great though to have an editor in Java to also support people on Macs and Linux. I once planned to do one myself, but with Lemmix proceding so fast, I gave it up more or less.

I don't see any reason to stop developing your own... people should have a choice of which editor they want to use.
