Inspired by Anatol's incredible Lemmings art, I decided to make a new topic. Please post your favorite lemmings art (orginal is preferred B)).
Here is a pleasant looking abstract Lemming:
O_o Unusual. But nice.
Another very abstract one is here (http://people.freenet.de/lemmings/art/abstract000.gif).
that's not abstract it's just stylistic
Okay. That explaines my bad marks in art. :D
Another one from me.
Final Pic (http://people.freenet.de/lemmings/art/art6.png)
Sketch (http://people.freenet.de/lemmings/art/art6_1.png)
I might add shadows later.
Looks good to me. I know Lem'ka has loads of Lemming Art, so I hope she'll put some up...
Impressive stuff there, Andi!
wow, nice andi....but it reeks of RPGmaker...although the characters look really good especially the sketches
Sweeeeeet! ;P
All right, all right! :P
Favorite? That would be this (http://www.familylees.net/~morgan/lemkathrone.GIF).
Most of the other stuff I have scanned is quite old. And for stuff I did all in the computer, probably this (http://www.familylees.net/~morgan/lemsigyay.gif). Or this (http://www.familylees.net/~morgan/pixellemm.gif).
Neat drawings, Andi :D
Oh yeah, and I can't see yours, Remline.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v413/hydraboxdog/Lemfall.gif
here is an animation of a lemming that I made. :P
It may just have been my computer, or my network connection, but towards the end it got a bit jerky for me. Pretty good though.
Ha ha! That's good, Hydraboxdog! But why does he stop just before the lightning?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v446/shadowfax347/lemrise.gif
the graphics arent mine, u can probably tell though
It doesn't look like something from me, but well. I just started to improve my manga skills and that's a result of it. (Somehow...) X_X
Well, anyway, here (http://people.freenet.de/lemmings/art/evil.png).
Hmmm . . . She looks very angry. :-/
Hm... She... ? It should be a he. Anyway,... doesn't matter. :D
Quote from: Conway link=1091162047/0#13 date=1092931638Ha ha! That's good, Hydraboxdog! But why does he stop just before the lightning?
It's to build the suspense!
:D
YIKES!!! O_o
a little animation I made when I was about 12:
http://lemmings.freeprohost.com/Lemming.gif
Haha! Nice!
Those are all neat. :D
And I did some more...
Here (http://www.familylees.net/~morgan/lemkaspy.GIF) (my avatar one, but full size).
And here (http://www.familylees.net/~morgan/lemkawinter.GIF).
... The second one is a good example of why I usually just leave things black & white.
Nice! :D
I swear that the last one reminds me of something... can't put my finger on what it is though >_<
Cool! B)
Haha! Nice! :D
Thanks. :) It's really choppy though I'm too lazy to do decent animations. ;P
Lem'ka - how is that an example of why you always leave things black and white? It looks good in colour!
Doesn't count as Lemmings art as much but here goes...
Andi sent me a couple of his pictures today, which I decided to CG.
Numero uno (http://www.ldine91.freeserve.co.uk/misc/CG.png)
Numero... two-o? (http://www.ldine91.freeserve.co.uk/misc/CG2.png)
Haha! Nice! Hahaha! :D
Here's one from Christmas Lemmings:
AWESOME!!!!
In fact, the blue must be red because in the Holiday Lemmings version, they put the blue in red. Try to make a level with the Earth style of Lemmings 1 and replace it by one of the levels of Holiday Lem: The water will be red. The blue will be red.
Also, if you create a level of Holiday Lemmings and you put it in Customized Lemmings (or any other lemmings game): The red will be blue (like above).
Yeah, wasn't that because of the palette? If the pallete of the lemmings only allows black/white/green/blue, swapping blue with red will be the only way to let the lemmings wear red clothes.
Yes it is. The palette isn't the same.
Also, did you see my level: The PEPSI Christmas Tree Factory?
Why PEPSI? Because they invented the Santa Claus and, in that time, the Santa Claus was blue. Really! :)
Hah, you learn something new every day :D
Who knew that little animation would spark such interest?
Well, I'm not amazing at drawing lemmings on the computer, but here's my first try. It's meant to be an icon for msn messenger, and i made it for my friend, Chloe. I think it suits her. ;) (//partyanimal.bmp)
Your image and your avatar doesn't work for me!
me niether.
Fluff! They never work! >:(
Hang on. I've got an idea! What format is your avatar, dragonslover?
120 X 117
JPG Image
Be sure, that your images must be in: JPG, PNG or GIF format or else, it could cause problems.
http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/lemmz239/detail?.dir=/97f7&.dnm=e063.jpg&.src=ph I found this picture from another website & guess what the lemmings have got finters.
Doesn't work for me!
Me neither. :-(
Same here.
See the above.
:-[ Now I remember I deleted It Sorry but I'm :-[
I think Psyke_spawn should draw lemmings more often...
http://img283.imageshack.us/img283/793/psykespawnchmera9ni.png
Ch'mera is a character I came up with - a purple Draconian, a race I also came up with.
I swear I haven't done the picture enough justice...
the tail doesn't fit so good. But the rest is nice.
@guest: You see, no mouth ;)
I would agree with Andi about the tail. When I imagine her, the tail is about half the width and length of the one in the picture, and she also has lemming-paws. Other than that, it rules.
Quote from: DragonsLover link=1091162047/30#36 date=1096298574Yes it is. The palette isn't the same.

Why PEPSI? Because they invented the Santa Claus and, in that time, the Santa Claus was blue. Really! :)
Santa Claus was invented bij Coca Cola, they were inspired bij our Sinterklaas (The Netherlands).
actually...
"Urban legend has it that Santa Claus in his current guise (particularly his red and white attire) was created by Haddon Sundblom, an artist working for The Coca-Cola Company, but this is in fact false; the modern image of Santa Claus was already established in the 1920s, years before Sundblom painted the first Coke-promoting Santa1."

Quote from: Andi link=1091162047/45#52 date=1123449339the tail doesn't fit so good. But the rest is nice.
@guest: You see, no mouth ;)
Ok, but if that picture weren't posted in this thread, I would've never guessed that it is a lemming. It's good art in its own right, it just looks more human than lemming to me. :-/
Hm... It's different to the original art, yes. But I think the green hair a typicall for Lemmings. ^^ Even if the rest looks like human. xD
Hey, look at this!
It's possible to draw our own drawings online so, why not on Lemmings?
Let's go, on this website:
Art Pad (http://artpad.art.com)
You can also save your work and get the link of your drawing to paste here! Enjoy! :D

Hehe. cool! :D I like the idea of using the can for the skin.
I love all your art people
I'm really, really sorry if this message is too long. ;_; Anyone who frequents the Lemmings Universe forum might recognise this as I posted the exact same thing there. I'm just too lazy to retype everything, so I just copypasted the code in.
Hellu all! I'm just a passing fan who finally found this place and realized "HEY! The fanbase isn't big enough, it might be a good idea to attempt to get to know some other people who actually know, like, and fanart Lemmings stuff." I used to have a website filled with my Lemmings fanart, but I had to tear it down after three incidences of people stealing the art off it. Not that it matters, most of it is outdated, anyway.
Anyway, I figured I might as well share some of my Lemfanart, considering that's what this is for. I don't have many full pictures up anymore because I'd been slacking off, but this is more or less my most recent stuff... However, it will be something of a spam-post, because despite not having the metric TON of old things, I still have quite a bit collected even recently. I feel a bit out-of-place posting it here because it's in a rather anime-based style.
I'm only posting my characters and official characters (all three of them :P), as a number of my friends also have their own fancharacters, and I'm not sure if they want me posting the arts of them without their permissions right now. I'll also be including short descriptions, because these won't make sense otherwise. They probably still won't, because most of them are based in a very deeply developed 'world' that I made for Lemmings, mainly for a chatroom RPG that's long since died off.
---
Alar (http://www.jacat.com/~crystal/images/alar-i.gif) An Egyptian-tribe fancharacter of mine named Alar-anh, though otherwise known as 'Phaerogh' to most of my friends. The weird small picture on the side is actually a set of cybernetic organs that has to do with a roleplay I was in a long while ago. Exactly how it came to be might take too long to explain without sounding overly weird.
Jeri (http://www.jacat.com/~crystal/images/jeri-a-re.gif), a Space Lemming with robotic arms who was raised in Beach Tribe territory, giving him an extremely laid back personality. He still has quite a bit of Spacelemming knowledge. His hair is actually green streaked with gold, because he's based off my closest friend from school (who had hair like that, but dark brown instead of green), all the way down to the palm-pilot.
Shadra (http://www.jacat.com/~crystal/images/shad-l-re.gif), a Shadow Lemming that had gotten caught in a rollertrap (think of the kind in Oh No! More Lemmings). A friend of Jeri, above, she got mechanical legs with his help after the incident. Can you tell I'm obsessed with machines? Thought so. She's based off me as I was at the time. She's always wearing shades because, like the Shadow Lemmings in the old Gamebooks, her eyes are sensitive to light.
While on the tangent of Lemmings based on some RL friends of mine, here are some older comics that I drew regarding a few interactions:
Silliness 1 (http://www.jacat.com/~crystal/images/LemComic1.gif)
Silliness 2 (http://www.jacat.com/~crystal/images/LemComic2.gif)
Silliness 3 (http://www.jacat.com/~crystal/images/LemComic3.gif)
Silliness 4 (http://www.jacat.com/~crystal/images/LemComic4.gif)
Joya is Just Another Friend, and Jeri's weird hair in the second one was a throwback to a time when the person he was based on actually had that kind of hair.
Nikki Mex (http://www.jacat.com/~crystal/images/nikkimex.gif). Another 'friend-based' Lemming that was only added relatively recently. She's some kind of strange amalgamation of Sports Tribe and Outdoor Tribe.
Lomax (http://www.jacat.com/~crystal/images/lomax-re-bleh.gif). Wow, an official character. Gaspu! Well, Adventures of Lomax kickstarted my fangirling, so if I draw any official art at all, it's for them. Plus, I'm on somewhat friendly terms with one of the guys who made the game. The "helmet in sword form" refers to...uh... something I boredly did one day. Long story. Long, boring story. :D
Lorock (http://www.jacat.com/~crystal/images/lorock-re.gif). Another official char, I think the text on the image speaks well enough for itself.
This last set of stuff is linked into my DeviantArt account, which is where I put most of the art that bypasses "simple fanart" into "ludicrously over-dramaticized fangirl dribble." Descriptions for the pics are on the pages themselves.
Hi-Res Fighting-game-style sprite of Lomax (http://www.deviantart.com/view/8455824/)
Evil Ed (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/11242168/), in the monster form seen as the last boss fight in Adventures of Lomax.
Dragon Knights (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/13103160/). Another one of those "really long, boring story" situations.
Ed, again (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/22145827/). Probably the single biggest case of Lemming overdramatization in fanart. At least, coming from me.
There's being a fangirl...and then there's being outright psychotic. I think I'm the latter. Oops. :O
It's cool how you were able to envision all these interesting characters out of the basic lemming form. Your description doesn't really need to make sense, the characters speak for themselves, and I can clearly imagine how one can create many interesting and intricate RPGs out of these characters you've drawn.
Then again, as a thoroughly non-artistic person, I guess I'm easily impressed. ;)
Wow! Really nice! Now that schools starts agian I should have time again to invest in my drawing skills. :p I think I'll also try to give Lemmings longer legs. Hm... somewhere I have a pic of a Lemmings with sword and shield. Hope I can find it.
good job daimera!
Excellent job, Daimera. I often draw lemmings, but they rarely go beyond doodles as I can't draw that well. However, this year, I'm going to try my best to change that...
@Daimera: Looks awesome! I wish I could draw like that...

The best picture of a lemming that I've ever done was a little scribbly one done on a piece of scrap paper with a biro in under a minute. The lemming was stood facing the viewer wtih one paw behind its back and a little smile on its face as if it was trying to hide something. It had character. However, the piece of paper was lost, never to be seen again, and even when I tried to reproduce it with reference, it was never as good as the original...
I'm looking for some lem art that would be good for a poster. Such as original posters or game covers or something along that topic. Collectible art to buy, print, download, get, procure? Does anyone know where I could get any of that stuff?
The cover art of the box is great for a poster, just look here (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/lemmings/cover-art/gameCoverId,3594/) or, much better, here (http://www.atari.st/pic.php?type=box&image=974)! :)
I love the original lemmings boxart. There's just so much depth to it, and the style is typically British. Just check out the little flying lemmings!
The same can't be said for the SNES/Mega Drive one though...
It's not too bad I guess, just a bit depthless. And since when did they have fingers?

If the offical art is anything to go by, they just seem to have a thumb and the flipper-style bit.

no, i didn't make this, my best friend on deviantART did, her name is TotenVeloren
*Takes a good look at the avatar, then proceeds to worship TotenVeloren*
I do have to admit I like the old 'box arts' for the classic games (Lemmings, ONML, Tribes), which goes over into the Lemmings Gamebooks. I've tries to mimic the style, but I just can't, so I'm stuck with my weird pseudo-anime style. A0;Bleeh.
And yeah, the Sunsoft SNES Lemmings boxart loses the internet. :[ A0;The only Lemmings allowed to have fingers are the evil ones in Adventures of Lomax! A0;*is a dork* A0;And as much as I like the Lomax game, for some reason, I can't stand its cover-art.
I haven't posted art in here for a bit, but then, I haven't done much Lemmings art, either. A0;The only new stuff about since my last batch are this (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/22874023/) and this (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/22947777/) (which is a generic Classic Lemming, and Shadra, respectively). A0;Yeah, I like to put a big toe on Lemming feet, to match the fact that their hands have thumbs. A0;Plus, it lets them wear slippers (or flip-flips, depending on where you live).
Edit: durrrr, I didn't notice that someone posted that first one for me earlier. I R observnt. Pthbbbt.
Kwee, the Shadra one is funneh. And I still wish I could draw like you, psuedo-anime or not. [smiley=mikeXD.gif]

You like dragons you too? ^^
Indeed I do. [smiley=cool.gif]

I've been testing out some new drawing styles. This is one of the best.
(I already know the right arm is awkward, by the way)
That's really good actually, I love the expression on his face :D
Thankies. ^-^
Yeah, the nose on Chimma's lemming rules!
Here's one I was FORCED into doing :P. It's SUPPOSED to be a lemming, but it's really a self-portrait of me trying to draw a decent lemming ;)
I din't force you! I talked you into it... [smiley=laugh.gif]
First, the complimenting other people bit...
Drumnbach -- That's interesting. I like the eyes. ^^
Chmera -- Gah! Everyone can draw snouts better than I! Anyhow, it's still cool...
Daimera -- If I could draw half as well as you I'd be happy. Those are awesome.
Everyone else -- I completely forgot about this topic for months, and now I can't see anything. Whatever.
I've not posted (or scanned) any art in a while, so I guess it's about time. No real order. Most of this is new, but the stuff at the bottom is older stuff I don't believe I've posted before.
Aililemm (http://jupiter.walagata.com/w/eyetyrant/aililemm.gif) -- well, a really rough sketch, anyhow.
Random Lemming guy (http://jupiter.walagata.com/w/eyetyrant/climbfloatlemm.gif) -- his face annoys me. If I ever ran into him, I would want to break it.
Lem'rek, Lem'ka's older brother (http://jupiter.walagata.com/w/eyetyrant/lemerek.gif) -- something about this guy annoys me, but I'm not really sure what. He also reminds me of something, but again, I'm not sure what... weird.
Lemkoo, the demon (http://jupiter.walagata.com/w/eyetyrant/lemkoo.gif) -- don't talk to me about the hair.
Lemming. Looking up (http://jupiter.walagata.com/w/eyetyrant/lemmlookup.gif) -- yeah, pretty boring.
Lemriesk, Lem'ka's nephew (http://jupiter.walagata.com/w/eyetyrant/lemriesk1.gif) -- I'm still working on the whole drawing snouts thing. I've been avoiding it for years. On the off chance any of this will make any sense to you, he's Lem'rek's son (Lem'rek is Lem'ka's much older brother), and he's a half-aerospacial half-subterranean (I've got to come up with a new name; Dunny went beyond derivative -- blame me seven years ago) Lemming. I've never drawn either of those two before, simply because... well... I couldn't. Or, technically, I didn't believe I could pull it off.
Same dude, different angle (http://jupiter.walagata.com/w/eyetyrant/lemriesk2.gif) -- how the heck do you draw a snout from that angle? I've yet to figure it out.
Lemmy with bomb (http://www.familylees.net/~morgan/lemmybomb.GIF) -- the sketch version.
Lemmy with bomb (http://www.familylees.net/~morgan/lemmyc.GIF) -- the colored version.
Lem'ka from my latest layout (http://www.familylees.net/~morgan/lemkareadletter.GIF) -- this ... annoys me now. On many levels. I really need to do a new one.
Just the head of the last one (http://www.familylees.net/~morgan/lkletterav.gif) -- colored for an avatar.
And there you have it. The somewhat meager amount of Lemmings art I've done lately.
.....wow :) You have a pretty cool talent there! I liked the "lemming with bomb" one especially (if you imagine that it's a human with an interesting hairstyle, she'd even be rather sexy...) but nearly all of them are very good.
I'll have to see what Daimera's are like if they're really as awesome as you say, but sadly the links don't seem to work :-/

Stuff like this DevID. (http://www.deviantart.com/view/30725711/)
If you can't tell, it's Ch'mera in normal lemming form(no wings or tail). I drew her face from a direction that's not the side! YAY FOR ME!
