Option 3: Not at all

As a follow-on from Proxima's suggestion to have remaining-to-spawn zombies indicated somehow (https://www.lemmingsforums.net/index.php?topic=4659.0), should all hatches display the remaining number of lemmings to spawn from them, even if they don't have an individually-set lemming count?
(This change will not happen until V12.11.X.)
I'd say no, but my reasons for that are mainly restricted to aesthetics. :P
Put up a poll. Which I probably should've done from the start. :P
Following on from this, another possibility would be to draw the text in a different color for the entrance that's going to spawn the next lemming, too.
I am with strato here. If there are no limited spawn hatches the info is already in the taskbar and the number can look very odd.
It is good to have it to indicate those limited hatches, but having them there by default can look really ugly.
If yes, I would propose implementing it as an option set to "off" as standard.
My suggestion would be to have it display when the hatch is hovered over and maybe always in CPM, but don't show it all the time normally.
Voting looks quite even with a slight lean towards no.
Making this an option is a possibility. On-hover would be unusual, as other gadgets don't have an on-hover during normal display; but simply "only display in CPM" is very possible, so I'll put up a seperate poll for that.
Alright, this is much clearer - aside from a single outright "No" vote, everyone (so far) has voted for "Only in CPM".
Short of a very sudden change in that, it looks like that's the way forward - counts will be shown only for limited-count or zombie entrances during normal gameplay, but all entrances when in CPM. I notice the potential for this to obscure terrain near the entrance, so I'll either make it intermittent (appears for a sec, then disappears, etc) or semitransparent - probably the former.
Implemented in commit 94de30e.
