Right now, the editor's background changes to whatever the tileset's background is, which is great, but I have one more suggestion, please change the background of the insert terrain/object window from pure black to the background color as well. One of the tilesets I am working on has some pure black pieces, and it is really frustrating to not be able to see which one you are selecting on the insert window. For my sake and the sake of those who use this tileset, please make this change.
I agree with this suggestion. The same issue happens for me when I try to select the L2 Shadow pieces, it's kind of hard to see the pieces in the terrain/objects window against a black background.
Oh yes, that would be a huge improvement. Currently it's very hard to see the L2 shadow pieces and that's exactly why I included the background in the first place!
Now that I see namida around here again, I would love to hear a little statement if this is going to be implemented :)
I would even rate this important enough to justify a minor editor update as it eases level creation by quite a bit in some cases!
I'll see what I can do. Sorry, haven't been doing much on the coding (or playing) side lately - it's just something that kinda comes and goes for me, I do very little for a while then start working on it almost 24/7 for a while, and right now I'm in one of the "not doing much" phases.
But yeah, this is a feature that definitely should be added. :)
Including background images in the selection window would be too complicated to be worthwhile. However, including background colors is simple enough, and has been done for the next update.
On top of this, I've also made several other improvements to piece selection window - it now auto-resizes horizontally so there's never a need for horizontal scrolling, and can be resized vertically. Pieces are also zoomed to 2x actual size. Finally, the scroll bar now works properly instead of being somewhat glitchy like it has been since it was added.
Yes! Once this update is released, I'll finally be able to release one of my tilesets!
This feature is included in the V10.12.12(-B) release I made earlier today. :)
If you got V10.12.12 (rather than V10.12.12-B) already, please update to the -B hotfix, it fixes some rather serious bugs that were introduced in the V10.12.12 update.
