Title: Remove "Cancel Replay" button. [SUGGESTION] [PLAYER]
Post by: Wafflem on June 24, 2016, 03:07:03 PM
I think this feature can be removed now. I tried it months ago and it turns out I wasn't happy (I haven't used it since months ago). For me, cancelling a replay by clicking on the screen to framestep is more convenient for me than pressing a specific button. Then again, I've been far more used to the latter method than the former method.

What do people think? Does anyone else even use it?

Which is the default button to "Cancel Replay?"

BTW I always click the screen to cancel it. Not saying that this feature must be removed, unless there's an agreement on a new button that we could use to replace it, but that's just something I'm used to.

There is an option which disables cancelling replays by clicking on the screen. If this option is used, the only way to cancel a replay is via this specific hotkey (default "C").
So Wafflem's suggestion essentially is: Remove this option and the corresponding hotkey and only keep the default ways to cancel replays (clicking on screen, ...).

I prefer using C to cancel replays.

At the present time, I don't see any reason to remove this option. It would seem like there are people who use it, and at any rate, it's not hurting anyone by simply being there, nor does it currently cause too much code mess. If it does cause excessive mess, or require significant work to continue supporting, in the future, I'll keep this post in mind and ask whether we want to bother keeping it supported.
