I created a level with the NeoLemmix Editor, discovered the "Play this level" button but every time I press it it comes up with a message saying "Test player EXE does not exist". I tried getting it to work on CustLemmix but had no success. What should I be doing instead?
Download the current version of NeoLemmix.exe (if you use NeoLemmix level type) or CustLemmix.exe (if you use CustLemmix level type) and put it in the same directory as the editor. It should work then.
If not, check the NeoLemmixStyles.ini in the styles directory. It can be opened like a usual .txt-file. Then for each style type there is a "TESTEXE = ..." specified. This is the program the editor tries to run when playtesting the level.
PS: Another reason for me to start on an Editor manual :(
I used the NeoLemmix engine and it works! Thanks, Nepster!

Rather than that More compellingly, it's a reason to
improve the error message. Apparently, "can't find text player EXE" is not helpful at all.
- Where did the program look to find out the file doesn't exist?
- What should the user do, in case there is a standard solution to this error?

I had the same problem when I started, I looked through my files but I didn't know what was missing until somebody told me.
