Title: Good times with Lemmings for Windows
Post by: exit on July 05, 2014, 01:05:46 AM
Just ran across this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aa4uHbM0RRk
Brings back some memories . . ..

Obviously this doesn't have all of the songs, even though there weren't that many for Lemmings on Windows (DMA didn't include the six "tunes" from ONML and BeastI, Menace, BeastII, Awesome, Doggie, and Tim10 from the original Lemmings). I like how the person/persons included a grander version of Pachelbel's Canon in D. But, Pachelbel's Canon wasn't written by Bach (read description)! :P

Pachelbel's Canon also isn't in any version of Lemmings. ;) (EDIT: I knew this had come up at some point, and found it late in this old thread.)

Anyhow, that's a really cool medley. I'm going to run that through the YouTube to MP3 Converter, shortly.

If you're after the Winlemm songs as they came originally, by the way, I've attached them (and the sound effects!) to this post.

The beginning of the song Lemming1 is reminiscent to Pachelbel's Canon. Obviously it isn't the real thing. It's just that people consider that song as "the Lemmings version of Pachelbel's Canon", or, for short, Pachelbel's Canon.

But thanks for the full music. Like the video it brings back some memories . . ..

Heh, you'll have to pardon my previous post, there... Mislabelling things, as some folks out there constantly seem to do with that tune, is a pet-peeve of mine, haha. :D

No problem.

It's too big to attach to a post, but here's the MP3 version of the audio from the video, too.

Just got done listening to the songs.
Tim6p brings back the most memories, ones of marble levels.

I love how all of the lemmings music is just so, so . . . (stutter), so dramatic, with all of the harmonies against the melody . . . Tim8p is a prime example.

Well I'm not going to marvel at the stupendous Lemmings music, back to level building for my new Oh No More cLemmings.

I just found out that's the song that plays when my mum and dads phone rings, (Pachelbel's Canon)

I actually thought it contained all the original lemming songs but obviously not the special levels but I'm supprised that it never had Tim10 in it the one with the melody from the (Good the bad and the ugly)

I used to race my dad to see who completed the windows lemmings first very fun back in the day.
