Title: If you took a lemming home what skill would you want it to learn?
Post by: Minim on December 17, 2013, 11:41:39 AM
OK, here's a question if these lemmings from the games existed in the real world. If you were to teach a lemming a skill which one would it be? Obviously not a bomber. :P Share your opinions!

If I was high up in a block of flats or a hotel I'd give the lemming a floater skill. If a fire broke out in my room and had no way to get out other than to jump out the window I'd grab my umbrella with my lemming so that we can both float down safely.

Definitely Floater, and probably Climber as well if we're allowed to pick more than one skill (Athlete counts as one, right? ;) ). I always figured that they're little chaps, and things in the everyday human world would be rather bigger and taller than they're used to from their typical habitat - there'd be plenty of things to fall off of and climb up to, I reckon.

Yeah, floater, I wouldn't want him falling off anything and dying.

Basher might be cool, but I'd have to keep him in a steel cage. And make sure he doesn't understand steel glitches.

For me, a Blocker.  Keep out unwanted door-to-door salesmen!

Revisiting this thread because namida created some new skills a few weeks ago exclusive to NeoLemmix, and I thought "what would it be like if a lemming learnt any of these new skills"? The Neo-exclusive skills are walker, swimmer, stoner, stacker, platformer, mechanic, glider and cloner.

Let's see what some of these skills are like when using them in real life scenarios. So. Here goes:

"If I was to teach a lemming a skill I would give it a...

Cloner, because I can have as many lemmings as I want! :D"
Walker? Well, I'd rather give my dog a walk instead of a lemming."
Swimmer, because I'm hydrophobic and need his help if I dropped something in the water"
Stoner. Yes, I know it's the sad truth that it kills a lemming, but transforming it into a stone structure sounds pretty cool, and what's more, I could sell it to an auction house for some dosh."
Stacker/Platformer, because he can build a new house/bridge (or even a road) if we needed one"
Glider, because it's a much more fun way to float down a block of flats than just an ordinary floater!
Mechanic; Well that's what my wife said, because I wasn't able to fix the fire trap yesterday"
