No, I don't think you're getting it. It's how many posts you've made since you joined.
For instance, I had (have, as of now) 1573 posts on Lemmings Universe. I made about 700 of those before I joined it.
I know that. But on that post there, I implied that I wanted to join(maybe I didn't make it clear enough), and I know I had around 400 posts at that time.
Anyway, if I haven't already asked, I'll join now.

No friend Lem'ka, spam is pointless posts, often which exist for no better purpose than raising your post count.
I never do anything like that. They all have at least some point other than that. Like proving you wrong, or furthering a story, or adding something else to the conversation ;P
