Okay, well, make the first lemming mine leftwards into the room between those two wooden staircases. Make the next two lemmings builders so that they don't walk over his mining passage, then speed up the rate to 99 and have one of the last lemmings mine to the right. The rest should be self-explanatory.

Really? What's the other one then?

The other solution seems to be to mine the other lemmings into the little room below the starting platform, it's a real pain to pull it off successfully though.
Other Genesis levels that I still haven't completed is that 'Final Impediment', and 'Fall and no life (part two)'.

EDIT: I'ts so annoying when two people post at the same time! :P

Heh, very clever.

Now, who's going to take us through Watch Your Step?

Sunsoft 5 - Watch Your Step

1 Bomber
1 Blocker
10 Builders
1 Basher

Save 49/50 (98%)
RR 50
6 minutes

Good: more great design work, particularly the chain going behind the blue rectanges.
Bad: Like "Train your body", there's not much of a puzzle to it. Also, 6 minutes?! ONML never patronised us in this way!

You're right, and it uses one less builder! Two lemmings don't need to build after the miner, just one.

I couldn't remember whether it was one or two, it's been ages since I played it.

Another bad thing about "Watch your step is that you don't need all the builders -- it can be done with just eight, maybe even seven. That's a lot of room for accident, more than you expect in a Sunsoft level.

Sunsoft 6: Libra

15 bombers, 15 blockers (despite what the site says!)

To save 80% of 60
Release rate 50
5 minutes

Good: it's so fun to blow the little critters up!
Bad: Yet again, very little puzzle. And you're given quite a bit of leeway in that you can lose twelve lemmings, but it can be done with (I think) nine bombers.

Sunsoft 7: Everyone turn left (Part Two)

40 Miners

Save 10/10 (100%)
RR 30
3 Minutes

Good: a very clever extension of part one.
Bad: the repetition is still there, although this time it's weighted down by a feeling of "I hope I don't run out of miners!"

I've just realised, not only did I review part one but I also reviewed "Balance beam", the level of the same design. Do I win some sort of voucher for that?

Oh really? I couldn't remember how many would be required. That's a bit of a bummer then - they should've had the release rate at 60 again, that would've made it harder.

Sunsoft 8: Is this a circus?

8 builders, 2 bashers

Save 100% of 10
Release rate 1
3 minutes

Good: at last, a level with a bit of a puzzle! And I love the element of paradox in the solution -- it looks like wasting builders but the more obvious solution would require one more.
Bad: I'm disappointed by the Sunsoft levels so far -- I thought they were meant to be the most difficult set ever?

Yeah, *Hands invisible voucher of lemming knowledge* :D

Sunsoft 9: Evacuating a coal mine

Skills: 1 Climber
         3 Builders
       10 Bashers
         2 Miners
&#A0;
Save: 100/100 (100%)
Release rate: 99
Time: 5:00
&#A0; &#A0;
Good: Very Difficult level. Sunsoft begins here!
Bad: It is a big difficulty jump from 'Is this a circus' which might throw rookie players (It did me.)

Nothing to do with the release rate. The trick is simply to mine into the wall just before the steel to make a "step" that holds the lemmings. Then you can just sit back and watch!

Ah, I seee...

I think the worst thing about "Evacuating a coal mine" is that it's the only Sunsoft level in the blue style. Fortunately, Present makes up for it.

Sunsoft 10: Spiral staircase

1 climber, 1 floater, 1 bomber, 1 blocker, 10 builders, 10 diggers

To save 98% of 100
Release rate 20
6 minutes

Good: it's a huge improvement on "Use your brain better". Not that that was difficult........
Bad: what the heck?!? This is ridiculously easy! And why doesn't it require 100% (not that that would make it any harder)?
