Wicked 20 - The Lemming Funhouse

Good: Level design is very nice and really strange and the title go with! Also, the level is a good challenging one!

Bad: A little bit too easy for the last Wicked level!

Only Havoc remains to be reviewed now. Wooo!

Havoc 1 - Tubular Lemmings

Good: A nicely designed level that kicks off the infamous Havoc rating.

Bad: The icicle trap in the middle section of the level is really annoying since it's totally hidden, so it is tricky to avoid correctly.

ok....... thank you for saving it for me!!!

Havoc 2: Be more than just a number

Good: the title, and the puzzle. This level shows why Havoc is the ultimate in Lemmings puzzle-setting, and they don't get any easier after this......

Bad: if anyone tries to say anything bad about this level I'll punch them!

And now for the song, which is about to be published for the first time ever.

Please bear in mind that I'm 21, and Havoc 1 isn't the sort of level you can be stuck on for years and years, so I was still pretty youthful when I wrote this.

BE MORE THAN JUST A NUMBER

Be more than just a number
Be more than just a life
Be more than just a lemming
Be more than just some pretty lemming's wife
You gotta show some feeling
(There's no shortage of time)
You gotta have a purpose
(There's always one more block of steel to climb)

Be more than just a number
Be more than just "that guy"
Be more than just a climber
There's always something original to try!
You gotta have some courage
To brave the lemming world
You gotta show some wanting
To have the tale of your mightiest deeds unfurled

Be more than just a number
Be more than just yourself
Be more than just "some other"
Be someone truly willing to help yourself
You gotta join in somehow
In all the fun and strife
Gotta give yourself a meaning
Before you learn the meaning of lemming life

The only bad thing about most of the Havoc levels is the sheer difficulty of most. Almost all are beautifully designed n stuff. Nice song, Ahribar.7

I just need to make a couple of comments on some of the last few:
Five Alive doesn't work properly on the mac, cos afaik you're supposed to be able to bomb through the smaller piece of brick and you can't. At least that's the solution I read, not the one on here. I suppose I'm just talking crap.

How is "Spam, Spam, Spam, Egg and Lemming" a reference to Monty Python? Just as an aside, I always think "Egg and Lemming" when I think "Spam" (well, very often...).

Here we go:

Havoc 3: It's the price you have to pay

Good: I like the look of this level
Bad: For the life of me I can never quite work out what the solution is supposed to be (that is, I can do it, but never think it's the "right" solution). Here they haven't used the big long stretch bit, but I would have tried to find a solution that did, for instance.

Havoc 4 - The Race Against Cliches

Good: Terrific level design and a incredibly unique solution to boot. This is my favorite level in the whole game.

Bad: Pretty short time limit. Coordinating all of your Lemmings to do the correct actions for this level can be really difficult.

Havoc 5: There's madness in the method

Good: Very nice idea
Bad: Unfortunately, it's very difficult to pull off sometimes, particularly because you have to be able to only select walkers. On the Playstation it's nigh-on impossible (though I did once get it).

Bother, I was hoping I'd be in time to do Havoc 5, a truly glorious level.

On Havoc 3, I did solve it using the long walk... can't remember exactly how though... my best guess is:

Mine through the first pillar, and build to turn the miner round. Have the other lemmings bash the other pillars and do the long walk while the first lemming completes the course.

I'll have another look at it when I get home.......

Havoc 6 - Now get out of that!

Good: Luckely, there's a blocker! But the level could even be possible without one. Also, the level is very challenging!

Bad: There's some unuseful snow terrain parts at the right and at the left of the screen. Why they put them like that?

It is possible to use the terrain on the far left as a holding cell for the crowd, but it is much easier to use the solution shown in the picture.  I don't know what the terrain on the far right is for.

Havoc 7:  Creature Discomforts

Good:  Challenging level, especially if you go for 100%

Bad:  The right side of the level is almost all bridge-building.

I checked Havoc 3 this morning, and my solution was just as I described it above.

Regarding "Five Alive", on the Mac the metal zone extends a little bit further left than the actual steel plate, but there is enough genuine wall that you have space to bomb and mine -- but only just.

Creature Discomforts......... ah yes <nostalgic sigh> I was stuck on that one for ages...............

Havoc 8: Lemming About Town

Good: A REALLY challenging level that also has a nice layout.

Bad: A little bit too difficult, perhaps? Apart from that, I can't seem to find a real weakness to this one.

Ok, now let's scream!

Havoc 9 - AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

Good: A very nice challenging level that requires a little bit of precision. This is a level that I like!

Bad: The title! Oh my god! Find something better!

Havoc 10: Flow Control

Good: a unique idea building on an idea from the first game (Compression Method 1) but improving it. Also, a very unobvious route exists to 100%!

Bad: middle of Havoc? No way!!!

Havok 11 - Welcome to the Party, Pal!

Good: A lot of steel to work your way around.

 Bad: Dig . . . dig . . . dig . . . build . . . build . . . build . . . build . . . build . . . bash . . . build . . . bash . . . blah . . .
