Title: Lix Multiplayer Session - Sunday 14th May 17:00 UTC
Post by: Flopsy on April 30, 2023, 08:52:45 PM
It's been nearly 3 months since the last session so let's have another one.

Opting for Sunday 14th May this time at 17:00 UTC (about 4 hours earlier than the timestamp on this message).
We voice chat during the session on Mumble, you'll need to PM Simon for the Mumble server information.

I have some new maps to play and test also so look forward to seeing you all there

The session will start at 17:00 UTC. I'll already hop onto Mumble at 16:00 UTC and finish level design.

Flopsy will have some new maps to show, too!

Lots of technical discussion after the session.

The bug where the scissors would snip on every assignment: That bug is only in my work-in-progress version that has revamped assignment code for better tweaking/different insert modes. I've even fixed it immediately after the session. No published release is affected by the bug, i.e., both 0.10.8 and the current 0.10.9 are fine.

Dullstar: About the recoloring of the lix in the trap, and better trap designs in general, see:
Allow directory per trap (not just 1 image + 1 text file), github #411 (https://github.com/SimonN/LixD/issues/411)
I haven't worked on it yet.

Dullstar: I've only bought one book on CMake so far, and I've liked it as a bottom-up course:

published by Packt Publishing in February 2022.
