Ah. You've converted the text "142" (ie, the textual characters 1, then 4, then 2) to hex, not the number 142. If you want to convert numbers into different bases like this, use something else; I think if you type "142 in hex" into google even that'll just give you the answer. The website Wolfram Alpha is quite good for doing quick little sums like this, along with being competent at more complex maths. It's what I use if I ever need to do sums... ;)

Anyway, so as not to break the thread:

Couldn't find anything else for 149.
