Sometimes when a sound is meant to play - especially exit or release rate adjustments - the game freezes for a second or two, then fast forwards up a couple of seconds. This makes it rather difficult to use, of course. xD
Any suggestions on what to do about this?

I have the same problem and I don't know what to do about it. It's really annoying when it happens while recording a video...

Sorry to report that I don't know what to do either. When I've tried playing it on my Linux boxes, I rarely get any sound effects at all! (Occasionally a very clipped version of the brick "ticks" will play when a Builder is about to finish working, but that's all I've ever heard out of it.)

Turning sound off does fix the freezing, but that isn't exactly ideal either for several reasons (the most significant one being builders, of course).

namida. I have this issue too, I often find it happens due to a combination of a and b below:
a) too many tabs and windows open on Chrome / Firefox
b) using programs that demand a lot of power with memory.
Try run Lemmini with your internet connection disabled and make sure it is the only program running. Let me know what the result is.

Doing this greatly reduces the frequency of that happening, but does not entirely eliminate it. At any rate, it's not a very convenient solution.
