Mac-Windows

Hello everyone, I am new here.  When I was about four I discovered Lemmings and loved it since.  Unfortunatly times changed and my family got rid of the old macs and got PC's.  I just found my old lemmings floppies for the mac and I am wondering if there is anyway to make them work on windows.

Sorry, but the only way you'll get Mac floppies to work in Windows is via emulation, and I'm not a Mac guy, so I don't know anything about that.  However, there are alternatives, including, but not limited to, getting the DOS version (available at the site in my sig.)

It's worse than that. &#A0;Basically, PC floppy drives simply cannot read Mac floppies, because Mac floppies use this variable speed encoding method, which the PC floppy hardware simply cannot deal with (to spin the disc at a non-uniform rate).

So you will not be able to use your Mac floppies unless you buy a Mac floppy drive, and there might be PC drivers that can handle such a floppy drive, but I don't know much about that myself.

Fortunately, I believe if you search the internet you will be able to download Mac Lemmings, dispensing with the need for floppies. &#A0;The download will typically be in binhex format (a Mac standard), so if you have a Mac emulator, you might be able to get it installed and running on your PC.

I'm pretty sure whatever is doing this isn't a person.  Regardless, I'm gonna delete the posts in the tech help board.

I'm sure it's a person pretending to be something. It's posting things in almost nearly every topic.
