You know you've played too many Lemmings games when...
- You put a jelly bean dispenser on your desk, and then wonder why there aren't lemmings building around it
- Your grandmother knitted you a toy lemming when you were a kid
- You still have the aforementioned lemming
- You've been creating ongoing Lemmings-derived fiction for most of the time that the series has been around
- You work lemming puns into your life as far as is possible
- You expect your hat to magically come back to you if you throw it at people
- You expect the aforementioned people to be happy and grateful that you threw your hat at them or otherwise collided with them
- Saying "Let's go" before you go out somewhere is commonplace for you
- You frequently find yourself saying, or at least thinking, that funny little "Uh?" thing from the builders in Lemmings 3D if you see something bizarre or confusing
- You install a sensor in the frame of your front door that causes the playback of the appropriate sound effect when you leave and return home
- Your first thought when you see chunks of steel is of Lemmings
- You've taken a "What Type of Lemming Are You?" quiz and the result was actually your favourite tribe
- You have hosted a Lemmings-themed pencil-and-paper RPG session
- You have a mortal fear of the common, humble potato, even though research thus far has proven nothing*
- You can look at a bottle or tin and imagine a revolving puzzle on its surface
- The Lemmings games have somewhat influenced your sense of humour and speech-patterns in some way
- You wonder what "Lemmingese", as joked about on the box for Lemmings 3D, might sound like if it were a real language
- You noticed that the removal of the animation frames that show Evil Ed with a cigarette from the PlayStation version of Lomax was not as thorough as it could have been
- Your Christmas cake this year is going to be Christmas Lemmings-themed
*(Potato fields are somewhere you just will not go. It's far too risky.)
Whilst some of these are purely humourous, there are a number that really do apply to me.
(And, yes, I'll try to get a picture of the cake once it's been made.)
